Seeing 20% of ats'ers like space stuff and we're all rather educated. Dont know if there's any one in the industry lurking but thought I'd throw out what I'd like to see to get the ball rolling as the pace is far too slow for me.

1) mass production of Robonauts, leased out to schools and uni's round the world .Tesco's vouchers for moon robots will be all the rage!

2)Funding for Uni's for moon rovers

3)Mars Blimp

4)new x prize for 1st manned return trip to mars,

5)non rocket propulsion method

I should stop now cos they prob just sound nutts but look forward to hearing others wacky ideas

A big space telescope on the dark side of the moon.

1. A bigger budget for government funded manned spaceflight, and more incentives for commercial space ventures. Killing the Shuttle without a replacement was a dumb move.

2. Extensive (far more than current levels) research into alternative fuels for spacecraft. Matter/Antimatter, Fusion, etc.

3. Affordable Space Tourism!

4. Manned mission(s) to Mars. I would love be sitting in front of a TV with my children someday for the first human steps on Mars.

5. Colonization of the Moon and Mars

6. The first Earth-like planet outside our solar system (actual photography).

I want to see them clean up all this space junk or else we are gonna have some big problems when we try to implement any of ya'lls really good ideas.

Some alien aircraft would be cool, not just some fuzzy, out of focus strobe light either, I'm talking about a spaceship, not a frisbee, a bona-fide spaceship.

id like to see the ancient structures on mars and go in side the caverns and tunnels.

make contact with an alien race and hitch a lift to the nearest civilized planet.

explore make a few contacts in trade of everything

get my own ship and set up a buisness that helps everyone

but before that we have to survive the next 6 years and get the tecnology to get of the prison planet

1. I agree on the dyson sphere, that would be awesome!
2. A clear concise photo of a black hole in every spectrum.
3. An artificial planet or moon, made by an advanced civilization.
4. That giant baby from 2001: A Space Odyssey

Personal mini spaceships that you can buy for yourself, like at a car dealership, affordably of course.

I'd love to be able to go out for a "Sunday drive" zinging around through space.

yeah a DIY cessna kit so every family can one day have space plane would rock.

I'd just like to see the world get together to kick start and revive The Darwin Space Interferometer. Essentially the concept is to increase the (relatively finite) focal length of deep space visible light (enhanced by spectral ranges beyond) to assemble images collected by interlinked orbital scopes acting as one huge scope, there are such systems on earth, but atmospheric and solar interference limit the ability to see an extrasolar terrestrial planets.

Early plans were to use 6 orbital scopes, and the later ESA plans were to use 3 linked to another to act as the assembler/transmitter.

See these links to understand the concept and the players.
