Boy, 10, charged with neo-Nazi father's murder

Unbelievable. A 10 year old boy, obviously so traumatised by his fathers hatred, ends the cycle with the ultimate act of hatred - murder.

What is this world coming to.

Its disgusting that some children are born into a world of such hatred and evil. The ultimate neglect is to stop a human being from understanding and experiencing love. My heart goes out to the poor child

Two things.

Upside : One less scumbag on earth.
Downside : The boy will be scared mentally for life.

So was it really worth it? I think not.

The boy's parents had been through a bitter divorce, and Hall and his former wife, Leticia Neal, had accused each other of abusing the child. The family has been monitored by social services since 2003.

2003? And they didn't do anything? It's nice to see how they're protecting children

I hope the boy gets the help he needs.

This is a story about a kid accidentally killing a parent.

The "neo nazi" BS is just tacked on to sensationalize the story.

Fact: White Trash people play with guns and get shot accidentally
on a regular basis, even if they aren't "neo nazis".

This is SAD.

I don't care for his fathers political or ideological views and beliefs but this should never have happened.

Just another example of our lovely world.

Sad story, but it is the inevitable result of hatred..

I'm curious, what were they supposed to do ?

This crime occurred in America where any philosophy is tolerated,
there is no laws in America that forbid a person to believe such
things.

The day a law is in place to forbid people from having certain
philosophies will be the day it is no longer America.

This is terrible, I always tell my child that you can only judge a person on their deeds, but if that deed is meant to harm you you do whatever it takes to try to save your own life, because more than likely if its a threatening deed your aggressor is likely willing to go as far as you are to save your own life, I'm also ex-mil and a devoted martial artist, preparedness and vigilance are my friends and I try to instill that in my child as I can without scarring the mental innocence any more than responsibility and decorum allow. This situation seems to be the reverse of the benign training of save your A## where and how you can I try to teach, A child knows right and wrong good and evil, the lines can blurred at that age, but not completely erased unless you keep the child devoid of other human interaction, it may be that the fathers training and hopes of a "lil white knight" back fired and this child rose against evil and didn't think he was doing anything other than saving others from what was obviously a vicious and deranged individual. My heart goes out to this child, he has a hard and long road with a public and legal viewpoint already maligned against his actions, because "Murder" is only ok when Law Enforcement, Soldiers vetted by Govt's, and Alphabet soup agencies do it. This kid defended himself from a constant psychological attack and a man who obviously was going to kill one day, if he hadn't already on his border safaris. sad wasteful and going to become more common.

That is ridiculous.

Maybe it is an inevitable result of letting a 10 year old handle
a loaded pistol but claiming that the parent's ideology was
the cause of the shooting makes no sense at all.

The parents were suspected of ABUSING their children, yet they left them in the house for 8 years.

Yeah, but they accused each other which has somewhat of a canceling effect...

I've been through a divorce, people get wicked crazy.

Its a sad story but here in Ca it is a known cockup that CPS (child Protective Services) are anything but...they take children from parents on the outs and give them to abusive individuals, my wife was one, the used to sell her for drugs, at 14, cops in the town where she lived would take cracks at her just because of her family name, this state and its stance on child welfare is Fd up.

Don't you love it how the media focuses on the guys absurd political views? Which probably have nothing to do with this incident at all.

This is almost certainly due to an abusive home.

And guess what? People of all creeds, colors, nationalities, and political views can become abusive towards their children. Fact.

Killing the guy was a bad decision though. You and I know this kid will regret this for the rest of his life.

Tragedy all the way regardless of politics.

I honestly don't see why it's so necessary to demonize a dead guy for his politics though, when this is almost certainly a case of abuse. But hey that's how the media works. Politics all the way, no matter how skewed or bias it really is.

It truly is sad to see what our world is coming to. Our children are being indoctrinated by hate and the only way they know is to commit atrocities in which they are involved. Very sad if you ask me.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Removing the kid from the parents would do what?

Protect the father.....surprise surprise.

I completely agree.

Nazis are idiots but that has nothing to do with the shooting incident.

I do not understand this assumption.

How do you know it wasn't an accident caused by the gun being
loaded and the boy being 10 ?

Why do you think it was an act of murder by the kid ?

Oh really? This was accidental?

Is there verification of this or anything?

I see 3 potential stories here.

1) Headlines implications : Kid hated his dad's politics.

2) Not out of the quesiton : Kid reacts to serious abuse with deadly force.

3) Most likely ? : Kid accidentally causes a discharge and dad takes the bullet.

Do we have any facts to determine exactly which one of these scenarios is the true one?
