Are you able to make a disinction between the west bank and Gaza? There are no Arabs in the westban with their "families, houses, jobs" at risk. ..
Since the onset of the 2000 Intifada, West Bank refugees have faced successive external stressors such as persistent human rights violations, regular exposure to administrative and physical violence, chronic and deepening poverty and a loss of empowerment. Within this state of constant frustration, economic pressure and helplessness, reports of depression and violence in schools, communities and homes have all increased. As the revailing sense of insecurity and anxiety negatively impacts the psychosocial well-being and mental health of families, refugees living in camps, Area C or affected by the Barrier are particularly vulnerable.
Refugee camps continue to be a focus for military operations and a area of confrontation, while communities in area C or affected by the Barrier are particularly isolated, with those regularly crossing checkpoints facing daily incidents of violence, abuse and an increased sense of disempowerment and loss of dignity.
Ninety-two people from the Palestinian village of Hmayyir, in the al-Farisiya area of the occupied West Bank, have had their homes demolished as the Israeli authorities continue with large-scale destruction there. On 5 August [2010], 27 tents that people were living in and 10 other properties used for agricultural purposes were demolished...............Hmayyir lies within the 60 per cent of the West Bank designated as “Area C”, which is completely under Israeli control; Palestinians living there face destruction of their property and severe restrictions on building.
These people just understand that it would be preferable, economic issues aside, to live under a democratic government...as opposed to Islamic dictatorship...
