God will let you know himself as you meet him. God is love and spirit and perfect in his ways.

Even when you don't have recognition in God He is around. He will let you understand himself.

And common sense, rational reasoning, objectivity, science/logic and a none-need for guru'ism will similarly be understandable and acceptable once you get acquainted with THEM.

I'm not talking about specialist knowledge. Just the basic principles.

No, one can't. The only thing that can be felt for God when you know him is love.

Was God being the perfect God of love at Sodom or at the time of Noah's genocidal flood?
Why did he choose to kill instead of curing?

What is more perfect?

To be a great genocidal maniac, or to be a great healer of those he believed to be defective?

If perfect, then how is it he repented for making the mistake of creating man?

Love is an emotion that to be true love must have reciprocity.
Love, if not reflected back is not a full and true love.
Ask any stalker.

Do reduce God to a base emotion is just wrong.

Yes, and also, fear for God can be possible too.

That is what the church wants as it opens the wallets that much better.

Man uses the carrot and stick approach and thinks that an omnipotent God, with infinite powers of persuasion, cannot persuade. How droll.

Theist have such little faith in God's omnipotence.

Jesus is an archetype. I see few with his qualities.
I do know of this one fellow who preaches the loving side of God but most theists either argue with him for their mean S O B God, or ignore him because it is almost impossible to argue against his loving ways.

what about people who act like Jesus and have never heard of Jesus?

Can we start a new bible and pay homeage to them instead of Jesus?

And if they don't, but are still good people? Are they going to be saved from hell? How do YOU know?

And are you saying that the only good person is Jesus, and those who follow him?

Think carefully before you answer, thanks.

Are you under the false impression that I believe in a literal historic Jesus?
Not likely.

I know that there is no hell because no self respecting God would need to create such an immoral construct.

So you don't believe in Jesus literally? It's just metaphorical, or an allegorical interpretation?

Does Jesus like (or allow for) homosexuals? Does he abide by the Old Testament? The bible seems to say he agrees; do you believe this or not?

If not; it seems you are guilty of Jesus customisation as mentioned in the video above.

What's your thoughts?

My thinking is that that man is a Gnostic and that that automatically makes his thinking better than anything that will come fron a Christian mouth. He would likely deny this.

Sheeple just mindlessly bleat and quote while real people think.

His view of so called authorities fleecing the public are history. IMO.

I also agree with this bishop who says that if God did send Jesus to die, he is guilty of child abuse.

As to everyone creating their own God. The number of Christian sects alone will tell you that that is quite true.
