Wow thanks for sharing this with us.

I still see both points of view (against using it vs the good that comes from it), though I would lean towards it being torture and that we should not be using it.

you want to go that rout ok then, going to jail and being lock up could fall under that the only difference is you can bail your self out of jail.

Yeah, said it before and will say it again. Waterboarding is not torture.
There is no permanent anything to the recipient .
Good find.

This is horrible! I've only ever heard about it, I never actually looked it up to see what it entailed. How is this NOT torture?! "Because there is no blood?" ?! WTH?

Torture, according to the United Nations Convention Against Torture (an advisory measure of the UN General Assembly) is:

...any act by which severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, is intentionally inflicted on a person for such purposes as obtaining from him, or a third person, information or a confession

-From Wikipedia

I'd say there is suffering, both mentally and physically, in this situation.

Sorry, but using the UN terms and definitions on this really holds no credibility. When the Blue helmets can be in country for longer then a year before the rapes, child prostitution and so on, then maybe they can be taken seriously.
