Yeah I was suprised when i seen it was Nat Geo more people need to see this thread, seeing as it keeps getting moved here... pff It would be better in the Aliens Section

The same reason everything on TV gets made: money and ratings which are shown to advertisers in order to get more money.

People have an interest in aliens. This isn't new, it's been going on for a long time and it's never really waned. The History channel had a lot of success with Ancient Aliens. So, the National Geographic channel sees that and says, "Hey, we better jump on this train, get us some of that sweet alien money."
