A Russian scientist is trying to convince people they can change the world simply by using their own energy. He claims that thinking in a certain way can have a positive or negative effect on the surrounding environment.

'We are developing the idea that our consciousness is part of the material world and that with our consciousness we can directly influence our world,' said Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, a professor of physics at St. Petersburg State Technical University.

To bridge our understanding of the unseen world of energy, scientific experiments are being carried out using a technique called bioelectrophotography.

The assumption is that we are constantly emitting energy. Bioelectrophotography aims to capture these energy fields seen as a light around the body – or what some people would call your aura.

It was discovered in the 1930s by Russian inventor Semyon Kirlian, who realized that by stimulating a subject with a short electrical impulse, you get a burst of light or photons and electrons around the subject

'It looks like an aura – but I don't like this word because it has some metaphysical meaning – I prefer the word 'energy field,' Korotkov told RT.

The device itself photographs each finger individually with different fingers responsible for different parts of the body, and feeds the information into a computer to interpret.

One supposed benefit of this technique is early diagnosis of serious illnesses like heart disease and cancer.

But some who work in the mainstream medical profession remain unconvinced.

'From the point of view of today's medicine, I don't think this can be used as medical evidence,' said former Russian health minister Aleksandr Tsaregorodtsev. 'And I would even go further and say that it's rather harmful than harmless, as it diverts people from the true causes of their illness and from truly effective treatment.'

And some of the claims in energy-field research are even more far reaching.

'With our intentions, with our emotions, we can directly influence our environment.
Of course this idea is new, that's why it still has a lot of criticism,' Korotkov said. 'It has a very important message for all of us because we have demonstrated that positive emotions have a very strong influence for us and the same with negative emotions. In one case energy goes up, in another case it goes down, so it means if we are developing in ourself the ability to create love, to create positive emotion – we change the space around ourself.'

The idea that our personal energy can change the structure of the world around us is viewed by many with deep skepticism, but in the sphere of bioelectrophotogrpahy, work continues to find scientific proof for the theory.

Are scientists really this off base about the world around them?

Put done your books and machines for a while and experiment with your own opinion on reality. This type of research only applies to a niche audience because most people have no belief in their abilities to begin with. Even then, it will be ridiculed by judgmental prudes like James Randi or the "medical professional" in the video who will make you second guess their motives and teachings.

Don't try to be Issac Newton...just publish your teachings quietly and help those who trust and ask for your help.

It always makes me chuckle when news reports such as this one spray some WD40 on a wheelchair and roll out a Clunky Docter for the skeptical viewpoint.

Ya, just goto any Herbal/Homeopathic Conference near you and most likely there will be someone offering it. Its actually a pretty simple technique. I've had my aura taken several times at Homeopathic conferences in Ann Arbor, MI.

I was going to write a thread on this and was working on a post....BUT, since there is now one, I would like to add it in here.
Hoping you don't mind OP...it might sound cheesy but I believe down to my core.

How many people have experienced synchronicitys in their lives?
I am going to take a guess here and say Everyone on this site is aware of at least one memorable synchronicity that they have experienced.
Why? ... because you people are more Aware of things, surroundings than the average person....tho I contend that synchronicitys happen to Everyone... many are not Aware enough to notice them happening.
For me, synchronicitys have been a common place....to the point where I use to make it into game.
They are real, and the bringing about of this observable phenomenon is the fundamental secret to how this world works....maybe the universe also, but I have no direct observations of that.
Why this phenomenon works, is because WE CREATE WHAT WE THINK ABOUT....all the time, every moment of our lives.
Now, you might say....Is THAT all.....and wish to move onto more Interesting posts.....but if you grasp what I just said, and look through all the distractions thrown at us in life, then actually we have the KEY to everything....and how we Use this Key, or more likely...how we are Forced to use this Key, is how our lives small and collectively work out.

This has Nothing to do with spirits good or bad, or the exsistance of God, or aliens or or or or or
All these things may or may not be real.....Im only concerned at the moment with US, who we are, what we are, and what we can do.
I may loose the God crowd shortly, but that's ok I guess.....we shall see.

Like I said, I believe WE, each and everyone of us, creates the world and situations we are about to walk into every micro-second of every moment.
This effect is singular, and also combines when 2 or more are focused on the same thing.
Yes, there have been intention experiments along these lines...with limited success....but that is because it is not an intention, or a forced 'I Will Believe" that creates our reality, but a deep rooted True belief...something automatic that just is.....like breathing.

Now, just for the time being....lets say this is Exactly the way the world works, that through thought, we pre-program our nest steps in reality....bringing the future of our thoughts Too ourselves....Could this knowledge in the wrong hands be used against us?
I would have to say Yes, in a Big way....especially if we were not Aware of the power our thoughts hold.

Don't you find it very uncanny how the prophecies of the bible...are coming about, more or less....and this book was written what.... a few thousand years ago?
But let me ask you this, what is the Most published book on this planet?.......what is found in every hotel rooms night-side table.? What is the most looked at and researched book, day in and day out?
Its the bible.
And still holding to the notion that we create what we think about, would that not explain why these prophecies are playing out in real time all around us?
Is it possible, that the bible is more like a 'computer program' that by reading it....and through belief, WE make the words come alive?

Look at all the technology that we are given in these dark days.
Cell phones, ipads and pods that keep peoples focus and attention away from the darkening world around them, and instead locked into a fairytale land which does not exist....yet our attention is brought away from these things when they deem it necessary, to further the collective program of reality....and then once again we are left alone to 'play in fantasy land'
Look at TV, it was the predecessor to these mobile devices, family's would sit down in front of them and absorb what ever information was placed in front of them, accepting for the most part what was told to them because, it was On TV, don't ya know.
The more people trust what is handed them as information, the more easily it comes about in reality just by the act of belief....and we are all being used like dumbed down, programmed beings of creation.

I believe that WE, the people of the earth are being programmed, collectively to bring about Reality's that are in the best interests of the ones with this hidden knowledge, while enslaving the rest of us.
We are being milked for our power and ability's, collectively....and That is why things are played out in such a fashion on TV, Radio, Print Media....you name it.
I bet this information was housed in ancient library's like Alexandria....and was destroyed to cover up the truth that only a few knew about.

Ok, so if this is all true, how do we combat the downward spiral we seem to be on, towards a final destruction?
It is my belief we have to enter a pre-technology age....for a period of time....to break the entrainment that we are under.
TV's, Radios, Print Matter, Cell Phones.....ALL forms of controlled information to the people has to be destroyed.... for a time, while everyone re-connects with each other on a direct and personal base level....are re-discover than no one wishes anyone else harm....we all just wish to live in general peace and harmony.
The Biggest purveyors of mass indoctrination are governments....but I will leave what needs to be done about That, in everyone else's hands, as I do not wish to speak out directly against the serpent with many heads...but we Do have to put our hands up and say STOP, to All forms of programmed information, while we re-connect with the earth, and each other.

I feel we need to put the breaks on this programmed information overload, as we are creating our own prison walls as we follow along on their pre-planned script, buying into ever created situation they offer us for consumption, lock stock and barrel.
We need to turn around and start back up the road we are now on, away from technology and back to simplicity.....for a time, until the 'gods' have lost their powers, become mortal...and can be dealt with.

Creating what we think about, is the answer to everything in this world.
No complex math formulas, no deep space observations, no ancient technologies hidden from the world...
Its just a Simple answer, to everything.....and knowing this, we can fight the beast.....and slay it.

Of course mystics and our ancients ancestors have known this all along. We can change our reality through thinking alone.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Great. A scientist finally gets coverage for studying something not in mainstream medicine just long enough for the "medical community" to shoot it down without any of their own investigating.

Pretty much people will just remember that one doctor saying how dangerous it is even if they are clearly not the experts on it since they invested zero time on it. This happens with solar energy, homeopathy, organic foods, or any other practice that threatens one of the huge industries (oil, medicine, and food, respectively).

Sorry, that just irritated me. I'll go back to my cave now.

Becuase until we as people change our mindsets as a whole, for every one person who will "work for the good of mankind" there are 2 who will sit around and do nothing and leech off the system. Its called Socialism, and it has failed.

This is pretty cool stuff for science to get involved in. I do have a question though.

Can someone control thier emotions?

Sure you can surround yourself with happy thoughts and things that would envoke those "good feelings" but it is my understanding that emotions are a reaction to outside stimuli. I.E. if you witness a car accident and someone is flung from the car and dies, that would envoke negative emotional responses. In reverse, when you witness your child being brought into the world.....

I would think that it would be quite hard to control real emotion.

Around late last year, in October. i attended a talk held by Empryean in Nottingham. The talk was regarding human energy fields,it did get a bit huey. However the lecturer did make mention of Dr . Konstantin Korotkovs research. Which lead me to look at some of his presented studies, he released data on an experiment where he used a unique setup akin to kirlean photography on those terminally ill and near death in hospital and took energy field photographs of them every x amount of seconds whilst they died. (30 i think, but dont quote me)

The results showed the "energy field" seemed to leave the body by the legs and feet. which is certainly fascinating as the slideshow i saw, indicating. Which it has been speculated "could" be the soul leaving the body.
