Should Christian threads be moved to the hoax bin?

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I am a Christian, but I am not the most faithful to ever grace this earth. I have heard about this May 21 2011 crap floating around, and would like to say that it is a very small group of people who believe it. Also saying ALL Christian threads should be moved to the hoax bin?!? Isnt that just a tad overboard?

How about we just rename the prediction and prophecy thread as the hoax bin?

Well - as someone pointed out scripture does say that nobody knows when it will happen. So therefore any predictions will pretty much just be guesses.

Also - being (semi ) serious - various folks in the Christian community have been predicting the end of the world and the 2nd coming since - well - since pretty much when the religion started.

Sometimes these incorrect predictions have had great importance to the religion. Once there was a guy who became convinced the world was about to end because of corruption in the church. He went so far as to nail his list of grievances to a church door and print the bible so the masses could finally read it for themselves. The interesting thing about some of the prints was the illustrations in Revelations showed the Pope as the anti-Christ (as the guy believed him to be). Anyway - his getting all stirred up about the end of the world led to the Protestant Reformation. His name was Martin Luther.

Amazing what a loose nut in the machine can cause eh?

Blossom channeled. No one understands channeling yet, and what that means? What she connected to is what many channelers connect to, something with deliberate distortions.

There are many federations in the Universe.

By the way, other channeled works include Law of One, by Ra, the bloodlines venerated egyptian trinity: Isis, Ra, Osirius (Is Ra El). Very similar disinfo as HH. Right and Wrong, are only perceptions. Higher Ups do horrible things to you for your own good. We can kill and go to war, for there is no wrong, all is love. Huge distortion. And some kind of wish to be a Galactic Soup?

The Cassipoian Wave, channeled on a ouji board no less.

And you wonder at this being distortions?

There's a difference between a hoax and being wrong, and I think you know that.

"The Christians" didn't put up a prediction about Judgment Day, some individuals who may happen to be Christian did.

I think you're more than capable of doing the search both here and around the 'net about GFL. I think it's a hoax. Staff is unanimous (as far as I know) that it's a hoax. Most of our members agree it's a hoax. If you can find anything anywhere that would support it not being a hoax, post it in one of the open threads. Independent info. Not comparative, "If this isn't a hoax then GFL isn't either". That's a road to hair-splitting nowhere, and I think you know that, too. We're going to exercise some discernment when it comes to managing the content, and not everyone will always agree. That's just the nature of the beast.

We're not preventing the conversation, but we're limiting it to the Hoax forum where we believe it belongs, and to the threads already open for that purpose.

If they want to drive traffic to their various commercial sites and book and DVD sales, it won't be from free links from our topical forums.

Since this isn't a venue for discussing validity of religions, I recommend that be taken up in the appropriate forum.
