Due to the numerous convoy targetted attacks the US military has increased the training our soldiers get to help them react to this dangerous
operation.
Whether it be IED's, rocket, or sniper fire, our Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines need to be prepared and in this article, Ft. Sill Oklahoma has
recently used "real-time" information to increase the training on "Gun Truck Alley", a two-mile stretch of dirt road where simulated attacks and
responses can be used to train our fighting forces to be ready should an attack occur.
Recent Marine training in WVA and other forces in Iraq and Kuwait, shows how important convoy ops training has become.

As the Coalition's role in Iraq gradually shifts towards a support role for Iraqi forces, American Soldiers continue to battle terrorist insurgents
in the frenzied streets of Baghdad, Fallujah and beyond. As seen in the recent attacks on military personnel, members of the new Iraqi government and
civilian contractors, convoy operations remain a constant target of terrorists as they look to disrupt supply lines and damage the Coalition's
reconstruction of Iraq.
