Are the Drug Cartels Drilling a Massive Tunnel in Chihuahua?

I just noticed a huge number of quakes along the Texas/Mexico border, and being from the area I know that the entire state is not very seismically active. This thread is PURE speculation, but I thought it would be fun to play around with.

Here is the quake map.

So what could it be? What is making this non seismic area set off like this? Also it seems to be a string of quakes, so could it be and Underground NAU tunnel? Smuggling tunnel? Freak quakes?

I honestly have no idea, so lets discuss.

how can you drill a "massive" hole in such a small dog...
no wait..

the quake is some 25ish miles from the border. the resources to drill a 30+ mile tunnel would be gargantuan. think trillions

Unless the drug trade is truly funded by the US government like so many believe!

We all know they have the resources to build such a tunnel.
