Iran Claims It Has Evidence bin Laden Died Of Illness "Long Ago"

www.zerohedge.com

From RIA: "Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi said Tehran has evidence that al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden had died of disease long before the United States' alleged raid on the terrorist, FARS Iranian news agency said. "We have accurate information that bin Laden died of illness some time ago," Moslehi said.

Well isn't this interesting. Leave it to Zero Hedge to find the good stuff. The propaganda machines are indeed in over drive and the global implications of the Bin Laden situation only continue to get more complex. It will be interesting to see how this develops.

Iran of course would have to butt in here to make sure that they are still in the spot light. Obviously the issue is divided here on ATS. What do you think of this development?

It is no surprise to me that Iran is running their mouth, also trying to downplay an American victory. Iran has never been short on words toward the US and I don't see this as any different.

However, this whole raid is fictitious, and we faked this OBL assassination, then I think we send a sour message to the world, and Obama will have one year of hell before him. Because if proven fake, Pakistan would be UBER angry, Iran is just looking for an excuse at this point, and who know what other countries are on the verge, esp after US gets called out on a false flag operation.

Very interested, keeping eyes peeled.

Pakistan needs to show us what they got ASAP before TPTB start releasing fake videos of the raid and burial. America is becoming a propaganda/ MSM driven country more and more each day. COME ON TRUTH SHINE YOUR LIGHT!!!

I have to say, I kind of hope Iran does have proof (real proof, not "made in USA" proof).

If they do, the very next question should be, "So Mr. Obama...can we take another look at that birth certificate?"

ETA: It's a sad day when "Made in USA" is a bad thing.

That is the problem here, the US has left their enemies with the ability to claim this because they have failed to completely prove it.

On that note, it would be very entertaining to see the Obama admin. come out with more evidence to support their claims, and then the Iranians counter with proof of their own... Including his burial site, body and DNA evidence.

if they have proof, almost no one in america will hear about it. the osama confession video on 9/11 is so obviously fake, yet they still got away with it. people are too apathetic and watch too much msm news.

it will be branded a "conspiracy theory" and no one will accept sources besides msm. further perpetuating the lies in a vicious cycle.

lest we forget the taliban OFFERED to hand over osama if evidence of his participating in 9/11 could be produced. bush promptly rejected this, and a whitehouse spokesperson said "there will be no negotiations"

Amazing if they knew about it then why were they quiet all these years ?

As usual, many countries have learned to poke its nose in the US interests. I wonder how much it has to do with the qualities of the POTUS

It is getting pathetic and funny at times as per how countries go about blaming the others and try to derail the public

It's 'put up or shut up' time. If they have got this evidence, which I believe they probably have, let them publish it.

Or perhaps they will keep it as 'leverage', in the same old, same old nasty political games.

...Because we should definitely listen to everything Iran says.

When did they become the bearer of truth and goodwill.

Not that the US does not have their hands in things they shouldn't, but it is sickening and pathetic that one would listen to things from a country such as Iran over their own country. Maybe those people should just pack up and get out and go live in another country if the US is so bad.

Quick update: Moslehi, the minister stating he has evidence, is THE SAME minister that Ahmadinejad tried to get rid of a couple of weeks ago. Khamenei vetoed the move.

www.cnn.com...

The surprisingly public power struggle at the highest levels of Iranian government erupted on April 17, when Ahmadinejad fired Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi.

Supreme Leader Khamenei vetoed the move.

The plot thickens...

To be fair, Iran would say Osama was on the moon if they thought it would make the US look bad

Yes - it sems there is wuite a bit going on in Iran right now. If Iran starts to produce "Credible" evidence in this matter then things could get interesting. Of course, they might just be lying too - they have been known to do that from time to time!

HOW does this get 10 flags?...

Seriously.

They also said "We have UFO technology" and there was ZERO follow up.
