Could you give me the full reference to Spark's book? Did he publish anything way back? If not, I have massive doubts...

A full academic reference? I don't have the book on hand. However, the edition I read was printed in 2008.

The Keepers: An Alien Message for the Human Race - Jim Sparks

There was one edition previous to that one printed in 2006 with a different cover. However, it's pretty rare and I've not been able to find it on Amazon brand new.

Actually I may have been barking up the wrong tree there. I thought you stated in the OP that his experiences started in the thirties.
You said in his thirties.... Maybe worth following up. Thanks for the info.

Don't get me wrong, I know about MKULTRA,
some of the damned experiments were conducted
In my own city. What I was getting at is that this Duncan O’Funioan
states too many wild things, like the floating bucket.

The OP used him as a reference, I was getting at the fact that he's
not a very reliable one. The fact that he doesn't have any
evidence to back his claims up certainly does raise eyebrows.
Besides, if he was for real, the government wouldn't let him run around
spewing facts that could put the military industrial complex in danger,
he'd be locked away in a mental institute for his own "safety".

In short, using a reference such as this makes the op's theory kind of...
hard to believe, that's all I was getting at.
