Well, that might explain where some of our upper level atmosphere above the North American continent went.

How brilliant do you have to be to conscientiously destroy the only planet you can survive on? But smoking is the main cause of cancer since the 50's. Pfft.

Nice post- just depressing.

How much you wanna bet that the increased cancer rates in the USA are partially due to all this testing on our soil, looks like mostly centered in Nevada? Yes, we can look at pollution, GMOs and various other factors that probably influence cancer rates, but we cannot forget all the radiation we've pumped into the atmosphere over the years, and that has settled all over our land and our crops.

Pretty sad, but you'll never get any government paid scientists approve of that link - the testing was always 100% safe, right?

The US film Trinity and Beyond (you can see it online) adds up at the end that the US did altogether 331 atmospheric nuclear tests. More than anyone else - China made Xinjiang radioactive though...
Even blowing up bombs underground seems to me a really screwed up idea.

Hey, thanks for posting this. Brings back a lot of memories for one of those kids who grew up in the "Duck & Cover" gradeschool era. We stopped doing it after about third grade since our school was about a mile and a half away from the end of the main runway at an active SAC base! (Westover AFB, Massachusetts)
