Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper said Saffia, bin Laden’s daughter who is believed to be 12 years old, told Pakistani security intelligence while under interrogation that she had witnessed the demise of her father at the hands of U.S. Navy Seals at a compound near the Pakistani capital Islamabad.


President Barack Obama announced Monday that the al-Qaeda leader had been tracked down and killed by U.S. Special Forces in the Pakistan city of Abbottabad Sunday.


Saffia, who was one of several of bin Laden’s family members to survive the May 2 operation, said her father's killing had taken place on the ground floor of the complex, the paper said.

"She saw the Americans capture her father alive, then they shot him at point-blank range in a room at the ground floor," Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat said. "Bin Laden's [body] was dragged toward a helicopter hovering over the compound," it said.

If this is true, and there is no reason that it shouldn't be viewed as such at this point, then Obama and some others have some explaining to do. Lets put our over stimulated patriotic bone back in it's corner for a moment here and discuss this.

Yes we all know that Osama has been blamed for the 911 attacks BUT not charged. The FBI has stated it does not have enough evidence to bring formal charges against Bin Laden. So this amounts to his guilt being one originating from public campaigns of Bush and now Obama carrying the 911 torch. If he was alive then shot after he was taken by the SEAL team, then thats an execution. And with the hasty disposal of his body then that amounts to disposing of the evidence. Combined with Obama's refusal to show the photos there is no way to tell if this is the genuine story or, the story is the truth as our government has told us.

This must be in the forefront of everyone's concern more so than just saying a terrorist got what he deserved. Our government does not act like that. or at least that what our President says, if it isn't true then our government is corrupt under the guise of freedom.
