A GO-BETWEEN for kidnappers of seven foreign truck drivers said today their Kuwaiti employer was ready to compensate victims of US military action in Fallujah and pull out of Iraq to spare their lives.

Sheikh Hisham al-Dulaimi spoke after holding meetings with Mehdi Saleh, an Iraqi representative of the Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport company in Baghdad.
Dulaimi said the company has "confirmed that it has no offices in Iraq and that it was ready to cease transporting goods into the country".

Neither Saleh nor other representatives of the Kuwaiti company were immediately available for comment.
