You would have a very interesting perspective on this subject. I'll have to check out some of your other posts.

Actually I think Obama may have done this country more of a service than people think. I think that Obama, Pelosi and Reid moved too soon on their agenda. This has served to call attention to what is going on. Hopefully it is in time to correct the damage and save the country.

I didn't want to see us go into Iraq either. I still believe that we could have effected a change in Iraq's government without invading. That being said, I still believe that our main problem in Iraq was that we won too fast. There was no time to setup an infrastructure for dealing with Iraq's population after Sadam's defeat. Our second mistake was in disbanding the Iraqi Army and police forces. This created a vacuum that others were quick to fill.

Tell that to all the seniors who have paid into SS who are raising hell at the thought of it being privatized. Are they all Socialists? Or just people who see the benefit of a program tat clearly helps them avoid absolute poverty?
Until we come up with a better solution, as wonky as many programs may be, or even wrong-headed, often something is better than nothing. And 'nothing' is all the deregulators have to offer.

How about in Death Valley at the Furnace Creek Resort, I was told by a girl friend of mine on the phone not two days ago, they are traveling in their truck and 5th wheel trailer. Gas was $5.75 a gallon there.

Obama cares, you can tell by all the drilling for our own resources here in America that's go on as we type,,, NOT!

They really need to get over all this political BS and allow us to drill our own damn oil.

I wish we can hold special elections where we vote on what to do with hot Topics.

there are some people who can really understand the pain of those who suffer because some of them also came from that kind of situation of life.

I didn't, Yes, I'm very sure I'm older than you, but even my husband who is a little older than me, remembers watching TV until it went off at night and the American Flag or Indian Head With Feathers came on at 11:00pm or midnight and NO, he wasn't a child at the time.

You have to remember, even though my father work in our Government and my mother was a University Professor, we're issued our homes and much of what we had in our homes, earnings was small and only payed for maybe 2 pound bag rice and two chickens and vegetables every two weeks.

Yes, TV was interduced into China in about 1958, The first broadcast includes a 10 minute report on Labor Day, with a model workers report on production outputs and a documentary called "Go to the Countryside" showing Communist officials working with farmers and other segments include cultural programs, dance and poetry readings, and a Soviet program.

There was only one channel, which went on the air a few times a week, for two to three hours beginning at 7:00 PM. The black-and-white broadcasts consisted of news, documentaries, entertainment and educational materials, and reached only the Beijing area. Initially, there were only 50 television sets, for use by Government Officials!!!!
The first news item produced by the Beijing TV Station, was a report on China's success in making its own cars. Its first newsreel covered the Red Flag, the Party's theoretical journal. News consisted mostly of still photos, text, and talking heads, along with news documentaries.

Lady,I just became a fan of yours.

I have had MANY older people who have grown up in totalitarian countries of the Eastern block say to me the exact same thing.

I used to be amazed at the ignorant people who were calling Republicans fascists as if they knew what the term was.

The problem is most of the voting public in the U.S. is very ignorant and vote for a person based on his or her looks.

Every person of authority in this country is a Socialist.

Look at all the Czars( I shutter at the use of that term) Obama has appointed.

If some how we the people remove this man and his minions from power this country may survive.

But I doubt it will happen.

I wish some times I had not had children.

They will become old in a very different society than I had the privilege of living in.

I'm not in this video your about to watch, But it was mandatory that we all had to memorize the song.
This was about:

China has announced It's Cultural Revolution and that by reorganizing the current small farming collectives into great communes workers would be released to work in industry.

And many in my family died because of this that followed, Famine and many went to re-education camps because they themselves were highly educated in Science and mathematics.

With the Cultural Revolution came persecution of radical students and teachers and colleges were effectively closed down, and Chairman Mao also used the time to purge his rivals. A bi-product of the Cultural Revolution was that grain output declined leading to the country's largest famine in history.

I don't believe Obama feels my Pain or Your Pain,,,, He has not had to work a day in his life that I know of, he did not Actually Walk 8 Kilometers one-way to school, I did! Has Obama ever, missed meals so the family next door to you could eat because their husband and father was out of work due to an injury?
Has Obama ever share a kitchen with 4 other families or the same bathroom and shower?
Has Obama ever walked to school in the winter, our winters are on average. -15 below.
Did Obama wash his clothes on a wash-board in a tin wash bucket and dry his clothes on a stem radiator?
Obama is a Fake Person, in China we call him a Non-Spirit, or Non-Person.

Umm, we DO drill for our own oil. Even in Alaska. And have for decades. But i'm curious why you think drilling even more is a good long term solution. What do we do when it runs out if we dont save any?
