Future Aircraft

Here are some photos taken from lockheed martins website, there pretty cool to look at. I have no information on most of them just photos. The coolest one was the first image of the VTOL unmanned fighter of what the future might look like.




The Transformer TX is a dual mode vehicle concept that combines a ground vehicle with a Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) air vehicle capable of transporting four soldiers and gear. The drivable/flyable system could be used in multiple mission scenarios.

The second image shows that old ideas never really go away and frequently get warmed over. This one is very much like the British "jumping Jeep" project of the 1960's, while even earlier the UK tried a slightly different approach by making an actual Jeep with a detachable autogyro assembly during WW2!

The third image shows an LM project for an experimental light transport that is based largely on the defunct Dornier 328JET regional airliner. It seems from the image that the airliners wings, tail and engines are used intact with a modified fuselage, plus whatever's inside

If you truly are interested in what will be and even is moving in the skies of the US and other parts of the world, you need do nothing more than to go to Google or a UFO reporting site and put in "triangles."

There you will find more than enough to keep you busy with your speculations. The reports found there will be based upon witness accounts that are based on actual observations. These accounts in bulk will allow you to project what is the real situation with advance craft far beyond what Lockheed and others grind out for public consumption.

A good rule of thumb is to rule out craft on the the drawing boards that will use air, jets or rockets for lift and propelsion.

If you don't accept concepts of UFOs and triangles that use principles of physics beyond aeronautics, then you are not thinking for yourself. You have three choices when thinking about forms of air vehicles:

1) You can ignore anything reported in the air that is not a conventional type craft. 2) You can accept that something new and strange is moving around up there that isn't truly "flying," and 3) You must then move on to accept or ignore that those objects are either our own craft or those of the ET craft.

Don't let others do your thinking for you, either me or the PR folks at Lockheed and your friendly government that has covered up the reality of UFOs for over half a century.

There are indeed many strange and interesting projects out there, however that does not mean that they are the only kind of future aircraft worth investigating, or that apparently more mundane projects aren't interesting in their own right. These are genuine proposals to meet real life objectives, not mere distractions.

I would also add that taking a line of "if you don't agree with what I believe you are a sheep" is a particularly weak and desperate position that does nothing but discredit the postulator. Convince people with facts, not playground taunts

The triangle gets us about as far as the F-117 and the XB-70.

After that, it's all about the trapezoid: www.desktop.aero...

That's a rather exhaustive PDF entailing tests on a lifting surface including a tapered trailing edge (much like seen on the F-23) and supersonic performance. A tapered leading and trailing edge promote laminar flow across the wing and control surfaces increasing lift and reducing drag through certain ranges of airspeed depending upon wing geometry and atmospheric conditions.

Of course, if you want to start postulating that antigravity somehow comes from a triangle shape... then I don't see why you couldn't just build one of these anti-gravity devices into a sensible aerodynamic frame (that may not look just like a triangle).
