why would the great USA want to invade Russia or china ,in either case or combined their military forces combined would probably outnumber all the the us could muster by itself . what is there that they want. nothing.

maybe it is the MISTRUST in the US government that has them worried - if you are watching what the us is doing they are throwing their military might and weight all around the world . what are they really up to ? trying to start world war 3 just so that they can put all the people back to work after the fact that their own damn banks damn nearly collapsed the worlds economy .the worst part is that the great us has been blacklisted for loans as their credit rating is now worst than the MEXICAN PESO. great leadership .
all that the us is doing is protecting their supply of oil and they don`t give a damn about the mess that they are creating as corporate greed comes before everything else to them ,look at the meteoric rise in in oil prices in your own nation and world wide all over the fact that the us is trying it`s best to start it by threatening any nation that dares to upset their apple cart - this nation seems to think that they are gods warriors and the protectors of all -what a load of brain washing crap load of propaganda they are spewing to the world and it`s leaders.

the worst part of all this crap is that the great leaders of the so called free nations of this world is that they are all buying into it and preparing for #3 . look at the amount of cash that your northern nation allies is spending on arms and jets without motors from the states ,is this the us the same nation that sold us their Vietnam era guns that were unreliable crap that we had to spend all kinds of cash on to retro fit them just to make them work right .
hell it would have been cheaper to deal with mother Russia to buy the good old reliable kasmaklov and a lot cheaper.

Russia? meh, I don't think so, but China? China will be the most likely winner of a war against the US, not only they have an army a lot bigger, but they also are the only ones in possession of weapons capable of defeating the US (aside from nukes). Plus North Korea will be one of the most likely allies of china, not because they like China, but because they hate America and North Korea is one hell of an adversary

There will be two likely factions, NATO and the hypothetical Asian Union (conformed by China, North Korea, probably Russia after the other two are together and a few other countries)

Why in the world would china want to attack the USA? They are happy how the things are going (ofcourse i dont know any of the secret missions in china and if they are provoking them) but everyone knows that a nuclear war would killl everything! I think a little more Trust should be " Considered " with the peeps running the show ( call it gov't if you like ). Im sure you Dont want to know as much as "they" do ..

Some may call me crazy, but not too many years from now China and Russia will be the hero of Europeans and North Americans( I include Oz in this). Picture two basic ideologies, one self interest(traditionally capitalist countries) and the other self sacrifice (traditionally socialist and communist countries).

Once people finally come to their senses and realize what capitalism has done, it will be too late, it's too late already. I see any war on the horizon as slave masters vs freedom but heavy responsibility. And surprisingly I foresee Russia and China being on the freedom side, although right now they are not there, I feel a war will galvanize that position change. Considering the plan to enslave humanity.

Oh and just as an aside to land invasion of the USA being impossible. I beg to differ. Nothing is impossible, and our creativity given to us by our Creator is no match for computers, text books and field training. NECESSITY is the mother of Invention.

There's going to be some big surprises in the next few months, but that's just my opinion.

I just dont see how Any Nation could Invade the US Cities ..

I mean..just Detroit or LA..would be an impossible job for a land Invasion ( think of the man power to occupy a city like LA .. Not going to happen .. too many groups there.. same with other places around the US.. .. There would Not be a ground force Into the US !! not because the Forces will cut it off..but the Locals will !!

There is a Whole lots of peeps that your not accounting for ..like the General populace ..

They will not take such a ground troop Lightly ..

To my very limited understanding of the issue, the majority of the radiation fallout would hit the northern hemisphere. I don't think it's possible to wipe out 90% of the population from a nuclear war alone. If we go to war with China and Russia, I'm out! Going to South America, Australia, or New Zealand...

Most of the missles would be targeted at the northern hemisphere, but all areas would receive secondary effects. Think about the small amounts of radiation currently coming in from Japan, from one small leak. Now imagine the radiation from a couple thousand missles. This would likely cause a nuclear winter affecting the entire globe. There wouldn't be an escape from it.

@ Farmergeneral, My thoughts exactly, there's so many guns in the U.S. that occupation would be an impossibility, we have the weapons and the area to a make it highly difficult and deadly. Plus if I was the government my last act before being invaded would be to disseminate firearms to everyone, and give them whatever training they need to operate them.

Well, Japan is in the northern hemisphere...

I don't know the exact science behind it, but if the radiation starts in the northern hemisphere, the majority stays concentrated in that hemipshere. It's the same with major storms. They tend to form around the equator, and spin out from them. At which ever direction they deviate from the equator, they stay in this hemisphere. A hurricane spins one direction, and a cyclone spins another, blah blah blah...

But, I could be wrong.

What just like when they took on the Chinese in Korea? What happened there then? Oh that's right the US was winning and pushing the North Koreans back all the way to the Yule river, that is until the Chinese joined in and Pushed the UN forces all the way back to the 38th parallel and the US could do nothing about it.

If the US or the west in general take on China & Russia together it will lose, technological betterment wont win a war, The Germans were far superior to the Russians in terms of training and equipment during WW2, yet they lost, Stalin quite rightly stating "They (the Germans) will run out of bullets before we run out of men"

And how well has the Superior equipment worked in Afghanistan? 10 years on and the war is still just a stalemate, simple villagers with improvised explosives and AK47's holding the might of western forces, all teh air superiority in Libya is not beating Ghaddafi

We here in the west watch far to many moives and think it is a reflection of reality, and it simply isn't. Its a Hollywood script where Americans are generally made out to be the wise cracking, tough talking hero who wins the day by firing 500 rounds out of his M16 while rescuing the dame in distress

The reality is China and Russia have huge armies, huge resources and no real love of America. A war with these two superpowers is not winnable I just hope the leaders of the US realise this

Yeah well, there are alot more Chinese than Americans but yeah, I'd certainly like to think they know we are armed citizens. Still, we're outnumbered.

People who think that the U.S. (or any other country) can't be invaded must be smoking crack. You ever hear of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2? Yeah I know it's a game but it's a damn realistic story and the way it plays out seems TOTALLY conceivable.

I don't know how likely it is that the U.S. will go to war against Russia/China but if it does happen it'll be monumental. I still have a hard time believing anyone really wanting to release all their nukes on the enemy but when you're backed into a corner some people do some crazy things. Now I know nobody's anywhere near close to being in that "corner" yet but if it does happen in the future we're all screwed.

We're living in strange times and it's extremely hard distinguishing fact from fiction but every day the possibility of WW3 coming true seems to get a little more real. All you gotta do is turn on the news and see it for yourself, this is EXACTLY what they said would happen.

If you really did any studying of the worlds Military's Russia and China combined wouldn't have a chance against the US military. What is seen on the battlefields right now was designed in the 70's. I personally could only imagine what the US has now that is top secret.

Sure I understand they have a lot of numbers but this would be a nuclear confrontation one where both countries would get wiped off the map. I'm afraid it would be suicide for either of the two countries. They would be radioactive wasteland and they know it. So while for entertainment purposes the iranian scare tactic news article is simply blowing smoke.We would shoot their missles down A something they couldn't ever achieve and B russia and china hate each other and are more likely to fight very soon over resources.
