More unhappiness from the Muslim side...

www.israelnationalnews.com...

And nothing in the article describes this cleric as "extremist"

A top Muslim religious cleric on Monday condemned the U.S. decision to bury Osama Bin-Laden at sea. The head of Cairo's prestigious al-Azhar University, one of the top Sunni clerics in the Islamic world, said that the burial was “un-Islamic” and an insult to his religion. The preferred method of Muslim burial is in the ground, he added.

If moderate Muslims start taking issue, things could get...interesting.

But if he was buried in the ground, then his DNA could be found later on, and proof would then surface that it was never Osama's body being "cast to sea" in the first place.

Even the Cleric said the "preferred method," that IMO means other options are used as well.

Either way, it is a done deal.

Nah, if it were all real, a burial in a tub of pigs blood would have been an insult... And according to Islamic faith, a sure passage straight to hell.

No nation would accept the remains.

An Islamic scholar in the UAE agreed with the US actions as there was no alternative, though some scholars are saying they could have buried the body on an uncharted island.

The fact that we treated the remains as respectful as we did is a testament to the US. Al Qaeda and other militants have mutilated and burnt the corpses of our fallen, while dragging the remains through the streets.

Maybe we did.

Only a select few will ever know the true story.

Anything anybody does is an insult to the Muslim world. Thats why they hate each other. You can't please all the people and in their case you can please nobody. People tend to believe there is this large organized religion when there is nothing organized about it. It is ran more loosely than the Baptists. Each one doing their own thing. Each one speaking for God but never saying the same thing. That is why they are always trying to find a common enemy to unite against. There comes a time when all you can say is who cares.

Are you crazy......you don't waste bacon on a piece of work like this. I say wrap him in a rotting pig skin, string him up in Times Square, put a Mohammed mask on him, light him on fire and throw feces at him. However, we missed that opportunity by a few years......not buying anything said yesterday.

I think a main (official) consideration with the sea burial was so that there was not one specific spot where Al Quada followers could gather and form some sort of memorial, and martyr Bin Laden any more than necessary, a specific ground funeral would have the possibility to become a focal point and a flash point.

without trying to sound too inflammatory,, lets let his followers know where he got dumped,, and tie weights on their feet,, so they can go down, and say hello

You seemed convinced that the US government is lying about this whole thing!. Guess what it, what the US gov't is fact and the truth until someone proves conclusive otherwise! Not the other way around the onus of proof here is on those questioning the official story. Real proof is needed not from some media outlet or conspiracy website. Real proof is not the word of conspiracy theorist who conducts there research from their Mum's basement or some left wing activists opinion. Real proof is not the word of an "angry with his party" political representative or opposition politician!

I am talking real factual evidence like official documents saying the whole Osama thing was setup. Other evidence like tapped phone conversations where the voices can identified by an audio specialist and multiple (not 1) witness testimony from politicians, the military and other civilian gov't workers. Evidence that cannot be disputed. I call your bluff where is it?

These idiots get insulted no matter what anyone does.

This guys very existence was 'an insult' to the entire bloody world, yet these jerks have the nerve to whine about how we got rid of the body. I'm not too impressed by the attempt to kiss muslim asses by burying him according to islamic tradition at all. They should have taken his body back to the US and had the bastrd stuffed and mounted.

It was a very good move chucking him in the sea, if they had buried him the place would have become a shrine for the mentally ill murdering fools that will undoubtably try to carry on his stupid terrorism.

Kill the head the body will die, these a-holes will now be fragmented and demoralised.

All in all a very good day for the world.

The time has come to stop pandering to the religious. That goes for ANY religion. Period.

We have insulted your religion? So what? What you call religion I call delusion. Stop believing in fairytales, get some sanity, and get a real job.

I wasn't addressing you, don't worry. I was rhetorically addressing this backwards world we live in.

I have to agree that we should get to see the body, if for no other reason than because now our tinfoil hats will be on full-time, and mine chafes a little.

The whole "buried at sea within 24 hours" thing just seems to "Dexter"-ish for me.
