A huge explosion Friday occured under Brussels, Belgium in a gasworks. Fifteen people have died, with 120 injured. Some of the injuries are serious.
It is believed that the blast was a result of a gas leak that ignited.

news.bbc.co.uk
The blast, at an industrial park about 30km (20 miles) south-west of Brussels, sent flames shooting into the air, and was felt over a wide area.

A fire service spokesman at the scene near the town of Ath said the site of the explosion looked like a war zone.

Emergency services treated the blast as a major incident and troops helped with the disaster response.

A nearby motorway was closed and local residents were advised to stay indoors with their windows closed.

Is this the start of terrorist activity in Europe?

No it's not.
There was a leak in a backbone pipeline transporting gass, and as a group of people was inspecting it, some spark or fire blew everything up.

Well if you take a look at this thread (below), there have been apparently a lot of "accidents" on different oil-installations all over the world lately. Check out Muaddibs post (post: 659213) with the list of some of them.
I think they might want to keep this silent so that the terrorists dont get that publicity they want.

The explosion in the industrial area of Ghislenghien, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) southeast of Brussels, happened after construction workers pierced an underground gas distribution line. Two nearby factories also caught fire.
