The State Department issued a worldwide travel alert early Monday warning Americans of possible reprisals stemming from the killing of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

Sent out shortly after President Obama announced bin Laden's death, the department said there was "enhanced potential for anti-American violence."

With thousands celebrating around the world that Bin Laden is Officially dead...

I seem to recall some news years ago...yeah...its all coming to me now....

Then, there were reports that Osama was seen after he was dead living in luxury...

Osama bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri are believed to be hiding close to each other in houses in northwest Pakistan, but are not together, a senior NATO official said.

"Nobody in al Qaeda is living in a cave," said the official, who declined to be named because of the sensitivity of the intelligence matters involved.

Rather, al Qaeda's top leadership is believed to be living in relative comfort, protected by locals and some members of the Pakistani intelligence services, the official said.

"Given the uncertainty and volatility of the current situation, U.S. citizens in areas where recent events could cause anti-American violence are strongly urged to limit their travel outside of their homes and hotels and avoid mass gatherings and demonstrations," the alert said. "U.S. citizens should stay current with media coverage of local events and be aware of their surroundings at all times."

Quite curious about that as well - suspect they going to get a bit more mileage from old bins ghost before they unveil the new bogeyman and the show goes on... Yep I feel sorry for the people in the states its going to get worse as their government "protects" them more from the bogeyman...

Can you hear that sound people? Listen closely, it's the sound of Obama moving his chess pieces, I can forsee a checkmate is going to be announced soon and we'll all be pawned.

INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble has congratulated the US and its counterparts worldwide for the gathering and sharing of intelligence that permitted the US to locate Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan, and to launch a targeted operation to bring him to justice - an operation that resulted in his killing by US special forces.

While Bin Laden's death strikes a crippling blow to an organization that requires members to swear personal allegiance to Osama Bin Laden, the head of INTERPOL called for extra vigilance by INTERPOL member countries' law enforcement authorities to a heightened terror risk from Al Qaeda-affiliated or Al Qaeda-inspired terrorists as a result of Bin Laden’s death.

Yes it is all a bit odd

Add to that - the Royal couple have postponed their honeymoon abroad, this was announced not long after the wedding but reportedly had been decided some weeks / months ago..
