I didn't realize they would be doing two more detonations! That was very fast, multiple explosions.

OMG No warning! My whole damned house just shook!!! It was loud!!! I think I pee'd!!!!!!!!!!! That was scary!!!

The news said they would break in with a 5 minute warning and they didn't!! My brother who is just across the river is ok but spooked but he said he didn't think something felt right!! I never dreamed we would hear and feel it out here!!! Im serious, my whole house shook, windows rattled and it was deafening at this distance!!!!!!!!!!

Something's not right with that explosion...

Look... I live 3 miles from a major high way effort right now...

They have been blowing holes through the hills making way for a new highway since 2005...
they blow entire sections of hillside away at a time...
i've NEVER heard one explosion...

we even had a some overloaded charges go off... and fling a 100 pound boulder 3 miles (in the opposite direction) and people in the nearby town... which is 1 mile... heard nothing...

the boulder landed in some dude's yard... he woke up and there it was... he didnt hear or feel it or anything...
(local news paper interviewed him... sorry no source)

So whats up with this?!

Just stopping by to check up on my American brethern (sisterethn?)

If I have the facts straight, the Mississippi is near or on the New Madrid fault-line? If that is so then my next question is.. is it safe to be blasting? (EQ for dummies perhaps.. Can a blast set off this fault?)

Please be patient with me, I understand this is a sensitive issue and I'm trying to understand the impact.

that was an awefully powerful blast! do they really need to do that 2 more times? seriously? that's not right...

Is there a lot of flooding in your area. It hasn't stopped raining here since last night. The end of our street is underwater, and it will probably be worse tomorrow.
