This will be short but sweet...

The sole purpose of going into Afghanistan was because the Taliban didn't want to give up OBL. But now he's dead. So does this mean the War in Afghanistan is over? What do you think Obama will say about this developing situation?

Obama will say we have more to do. Then in about 6 months he will announce that it is time to wrap it up.

Troops start coming home in 2012.

Yes, the troops should come home, but they will not.
There is *always another threat.
Sigh, this just never ends...

In addition, Obama (most likely) just sealed his re-election.

I would like to think it will be peace. Though, his followers will probably not let that happen.

Haha. That would be logical. And this isn't about logic. This new development is far more likely to be a chess move to get us further, not less, embroiled...in Pakistan, which after all, along with Syria and Iran, is one of the last nations on the path of the oil, gas, and water pipelines to Asia, and the who controls this path will control the world.

You are probably wondering, now what?

After we had spend so many time.
After we had spend so many lives.
After we had spend so much money.

Now what?

Well.. not much.
They did their job.
Osama or Usama was literally an objective,
a prey, like when you hunt for a bear or deer lol.
So unless youre a cannibal, that's it.
10 years too late?
I'm not mister hindsight.

also i wanted to add
Dont forget the timing here.
and personally i just hope it can help the economy a bit.

Interesting point of view.

They are still hyping the Taliban as a major danger, so there is that.

Then we have the Pakitstan issue, and of course there will be a retaliation (false flag, perhaps) that will occupy our troops in that region.

Yeah. This isn't going to be the end of anything. Just another chapter, most likely.

I don't like it one bit.
