I'm voting for John Kerry in the state of Nevada.

It keeps saying my answer is too short

so I'm rambling on....

Hope my power doesn't go out again

we're having T-storms with wind and rain.

This tabulation counts only votes cast before I posted the "CLOSED" note, any votes/corrections made since then have NOT been counted, and will not been counted by me either.

If you want percentages here they are....

Bush = 33.7%
Kerry = 37.9%
Badnarik= 24.2%
Nader = 3.2%
Other = 1.1%
All else = 0%

May not equal 100% due to rounding

Other notes:

I am currently color-coding the electoral college map, please wait and it will be posted shortly.

Bush = 202
Kerry = 200
Badnarik = 63
Nader = 0
Unclaimed = 69

No one wins a majority of the electoral votes (270), so it would go to the House of Representatives. Each State would get one vote, and whoever has a majority of the states, wins.

Feel free to discuss the results, and your opinions

If people want to still vote, or whatever, that's fine, all I'm saying is, I'm done being the poller and the one who takes the tally.

That was a pretty neat survey, thanks for running it.

63% for Badnarik is pretty good, but it doesn't even come close to the
203-200 %, respectively, of either Rep/Dem party's representation in this survey.

Perhaps, people will see by voting honestly and ideally for a party, other than Rep or Dem, they are giving their votes away as the majority are either Rep or Dem party.

I'd like to see this survey retaken as we get closer to election day.

Me too, maybe in late September? Whatever happens.

PS it was 63 electoral votes, not %

First of all, great job BWBT! Close election even for a small community like ATS.

Has there ever been an election where a candidate didn't clear (or barely cleared) the 270 mark?

Well, looks like Bush won, for the fact/history/saying of "No president wins without Ohio." But if you include my vote it would be a tie. What happens in cases of ties?(I know impossible to the extreme, but nothing is impossible, only highly improbable)

have to say Kerry in the state of Maryland

I know the vote's done, but I'll add my 2 cents for the H E double L of it. I will be casting my vote for Kerry/Edwards. This'll be the first time I've ever voted for any Democrat. I guess Bush truly is an amazing man.

Yes there have, two times I believe, where not one candidate passed the majority mark (it's 270 now a days).

(Off top of head)

Jefferson in 1800
and errrr....
Adams in 1825 I think.
