They had to get him there somehow... if you believe they 'Got Him' in the first place

how many seals were there? and how many would fit in a standard helicopter plus one ""Dead"" body?

Another point... even if the helicopters were completely silent.. the one went down must of created noise... then there were reports behind the door was a brick wall they had to blast open.. more noise...

There are a lot of reports that say different things, someone tweeted the whole thing live basically talking about helicopters, explosions, and gun fire. I have seen numbers of seals from half a dozen (6), 20-24, and up to 40, so who knows, i heard there were two teams, one website said they were mh 60 helis, also i heard they had a lot of guns and explosives in there

Indeed.. but there was no firefight...

every single story has been conflicting... it's such Rubbish

What Id like everybody to consider is the seals were probably in place BEFORE the choppers arrived,no way would they have lost the element of surprise with Osama, fictional or not,its just makes tactical sense,so yes to some operatives he was already dead when they got there
and another hypothetical;perhaps the chopper that crashed contacted a few wires when landing, but really who knows

That's a good point, especially since now they are saying that the CIA had a safe house in Pakistan for months watching the compound. I feel it would be very likely that the SEALS managed to be in place to breach the compound prior to the arrival of the helicopters. On the other hand, maybe this is not the case since they used super secret stealth choppers.

www.cbsnews.com...

Granted, the article specifically states the safe house did not play a role in the raid, but who knows at this point...The story changes so often I can't keep all the details straight anymore.

if you believe obl is dead, i think there are 2 issues remaining...if you dont believe obl is dead then good for you...you are entitled to your opinion.

so if you think he dead,

1) should obama release proof to put to rest any doubts that he is dead?

2) should st6 have captured obl alive since he was not armed or did st6 make the right choice by killing him due to the risk of a suicide vest under his clothes endangering their lives?

if there were covert assets on the ground before they arrived. its probably watch for movement, cutting the power before they arrived. etc.

I Don't believe they killed him in the raid...

yet hypothetically...

they should never have assassinated him without trial

How would we like it if some country pissed at us sent a team to start assassinating generals on american soil, because that country considers our military terrorists? I am sure most americans would be outraged...

obl was not a member of the pakistani military establishment.

with regards to the violation of sovereignty, yes, the pakistanis have voiced their anger over this and the us have not rebutted their argument albeit they have not admitted guilt either. they will work it out diplomatically.

i said quite the same with the 'Iraq Incident'

since when did the US decide it had the Global power to assassinate whomever they deemed necessary..

how would anyone feel.. Republican/Democrat if Gaddafi sent over forces to take out the President because of 'Terrorist Actions' against the civilians of Libya

What concerns me most about this is how easy it appears to be for TPTB to make people believe whatever they want.

Nobody knows exactly what did or didn't happen in Abbottabad in the early hours of Monday. The only constant in a constantly changing narrative is that Osama bin Laden was killed (allegedly). How and why will forever remain a subject of speculation. Most of the information being banded around as "Official" is also media speculation. The DOD has apparently made just one press briefing at all on the subject.

People will mostly believe what they want to believe. And for many it is too hard to comprehend that their government(s) will blatantly lie to them. "I mean, why would they?" they ask.

Those of us who question the official story are branded conspiracy nuts and will forever have to take refuge on sites like ATS, where we will hypothesise and argue moot points among ourselves. These sites will in turn be infiltrated by government stooges, eager to stir the pot and help fortify the image of CTs as crackpots with too much time on our hands.

I am so incredibly angry about this whole episode. Angry at the cover up the US Govt seems not to care whether we believe or not. Angry at the complicity of the global media who have unquestioningly accepted the whole pack of lies. Angry at the stupidity of all those who say "he deserved it, the terrorist" and are too blinded by ignorance to even see the complete weirdness of the whole situation. And I am angry about the new low we have reached in human morality - where a President can go on live TV and announce that the murder of a human being is OK, a good thing even, when weighed against crimes that the dead person is accused of having committed (but never given the chance to answer for in a court of law.)

I despair of humanity. Many people on this site are predicting doom and destruction for the human race. It can't come soon enough frankly.

I am going outside to cool of and spend some time with my horses. At least with them there is no deceit, no faking. It is sad that they and all the other noble species that share this planet should have to suffer because of the evil that resides in the heart of man.

the us was not involved in the bombing of the gaddafi residence which killed his son and his grandchildren.

responding to your hypothetical question.

if gaddafi had sent assassins to assassinate the american president, then the us reserves the right to react upon the aggressions of the libyan dictator.

Enter the new Boogyman...

edition.cnn.com...

London (CNN) -- With Osama bin Laden dead, Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is now the biggest threat to peace in the world, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday.
"He runs the country and he is infused with fanaticism," Netanyahu told CNN, arguing that Iran's supreme leader was more worrying than its president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as the Islamic republic pursues a controversial nuclear program.
"If the Iranian regime gets atomic bombs, it will change history," he warned. "The future of the world -- the future of the Middle East -- is certainly at stake."

The Israeli prime minister said he has not seen the photos of bin Laden dead, but he's not concerned by that.
"I don't think anyone is really questioning that Osama bin Laden has been killed," he asserted.

You know what. The American public should boycott paying their taxes. En masse. This could be defended by arguing that since the Government is not being 100% transparent with the appropriation
of that tax money, they cannot be entrusted with it.

I urge all Americans to do this, its perhaps the best way for these liars to be held to account.

Nice idea, but good luck trying to get a paycheck without taxes already taken out.

Exactly, I'm wondering why the initial reports were that they (Obama and crew) watched the "firefight", when now, there was no firefight, just one dude that managed to get off a round or two, before the SEALs nailed him. Then, they killed all unarmed adult males in the compound, even ones that weren't wanted dead or alive.

Yep,dead men leave no tales, leave no witnesses, sounds more like a mob hit than anything, and as far as OBL daughter and wife goes why would anyone trust anything the Bin Laden family says, remember they were flying our skies on 9-12 after watching 911 go down with the Bushes, they are just more unreachable witnesses.I don't buy it at all.To me this lie is so big it's bound to come apart at some point. This has become such a joke(as well as the BC) I'm beginning to think that they are purposely setting Obama up for a fall.I'm going to sit back and watch this unfold...should be interesting to say the least.

As I said before you cannot pay everyone to bend the way you want them to. With this announcement, it may be easier for some to see what has happened. We all know our gov will not tell us, but that is nothing new.
