I'm British so my comments count for very little. But I may as well add them anyway!

I took the vid to be a taunt to anyone who dares question or disagree. He even taunted some of the people here who are into conspiracies. The event may previously have been a opportunity for light hearted fun, but Obama seemed to go a tad to far. A joke or two would have done. It's not exactly the kind of behaviour one would expect from a head of state. I've seen a few vids recently of Obama being pretty arrogant and preacher-ish, and this is another display of his strange behaviour.

Lol What?
This is why conspiracy theorist get on my nerve.
I didn't agree with stuff bush did, but when bush would get around and tell jokes.. I found it to be funny.
It's nothing more than humor, he is a human, you don't think he has a right to tell jokes?

No, no. Don't get me wrong - some of the jokes were funny. I have only just learned about this correspondents dinner tradition today! I realise it's supposed to be a bit of fun. But taking the pi*s out of the guy like that while he is sat there, and for a while too? Sure, no reason why the comedian shouldn't. But it just seems a little odd to me for the President to do that, as a observer from afar.

The funny thing is that the same people who are saying President Obama is silly or immature for saying a couple of jokes about Donald Trump are the exact same people who entertained Donald Trumps birth certificate nonsense.

Yeah..well..that surprises you how?

they can't admit any 1 of their beliefs is even potentially wrong else the whole stupid house of cards falls on them...well that's happened already I guess.....but they'd have to ADMIT it...and that would be unbearable for many!

Yet again we hae a typical Washington function that goes just as it has for years and years and years but for some reason, now that Obama took part in it, it is new, different, wrong, shameful, etc. I am surprised the lot of you have yet to protest eating food. You guys know Obama eats food, right? Shameful!

The part where Obama says that Trump is going to turn the White House into a tacky casino is funny, yet at least casinos bring in money whereas Obama can only spend money.

I guess you are not familiar with how Trump runs his casinos? 3 bankruptcy and finally relinquishing majority ownwership are not indicitative of someone who knows how to make money. You really really really have to spend crazy money to bankrupt a casino.

This was so awesome.
It is about time the President did the right thing and mock stupid people. It is the only way they will learn not to be stupid. No child left behind IMO.

@Hawking
That posters English is not "fine" even if he learned English yesterday.

Wise woman. You are correct, IMO. They are in cahoots. Trump has no self respect to lose, and hired himself out to Obama to make the Tea/GOP look more marginalized in the public perception.

Wait... Trump is making the Tea/GOP (glad you acknowledge they are the same) 'look more marginalized' by espousing something several notable Republicans and many tea party placards have already stated?

Wouldn't that mean the GOP/Tea Party were marginalizing themselves and need no outside help?

I guess the people (or whatever) REALLY running this country have figured out another way to pointlessly entertain the masses...

This is like watching IDIOCRACY.

Again, this was the CORRESPONDENTS DINNER, an annual event where prominent politicians and the media take a ribbing from each other. It's quite well known.

I swear to god it's like you people think the entire world was invented on Jan 20 2009.

Oh lord, if people are so sensitive as to have problems with these jokes, I PRAY that they never go to a roast you have to pay and be 18 years or older to attend. I also hope you never watch a single Comedy Central Roast, lest it cause you to cry.

To be honest, if you think that 5 minutes of roasting out of a long, long dinner is somehow because Trump is 'close to the truth' or a conspiracy to shut people up, well, I don't know what to tell you....except that thinking that has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever read on ATS. And trust me, I've read some dumb things on ATS.

Judging by his reaction, I'd say that he's very good at dishing it out, but quite inept at taking it back in return.

Of course he can't take what he spews forth. I've yet to see any pompous asshole that can
I seriously hope the american people don't honestly consider this douchebag a serious candidate for presidency. Can we talk about how many times the man has filed bankruptcy and how he's notorious for evoking clauses in contracts for not paying back loans and debts.

You really want an arrogant asshat for your president.
