Whats up with all these pizza ads? I just had a Papa Johns and Dominos advertisement in the ME section of the forums. And when I seem to go to outside news sources (like Yahoo, Haaretz ect), all I see is 2 medium 2-topping pizzas for $5.99 each.

Anyone as sick and tired of seeing these pizzas advertisements as much as I am? Maybe I'm just ranting....

Are you using Google Chrome and have you ordered pizza online? My browser only gives me ads for stuff I've looked at in the past week or so

My FF ad-blocker for some reason can't block Dominos and Papa Johns ads.

You clicked on one recently, right? Welcome to the wonderful world of Internet advertising. I was looking for generators a few days ago and suddenly everywhere I went up pops a generator ad. I believe technically what is happeneing is that once I went to a generator site I rec'd a cookie to that effect that other site's ad's seek out to see what to display. I think these cookies have a fairly short life, maybe a week or two.

Dont look now, but Pizza the Hut (movie ref. Spaceballs) is stalking you and plans to do mighty nasty things to your internals when it catches you.

Or, you could be carrying around a boat load of old cookies in your browser that they use to decipher your every thought with and focus ads based on that.
Clear your search history and browser cache and you should start getting even more annoying ads that have nothing to do with you at all.

Pizza is good for you. It is all of the major food groups in one delicious meal. Bread, vegies, dairy, and meat. Even though tomato is a fruit, you can still add pineapple and bell peppers to add to the healthy stuff.

That's gotta be it. Advertising online wasn't like this a few years ago, as far as I recall but I get the same thing, all my ads are guitars and amps I've looked at.

And it really should bother me more than it does that my activity's bein tracked but I say whatever, I got nothing to hide and Chrome is super fast haha

Ahahaha. Don't you love it? Companies are looking in on what you look at and what you buy so they can send you ads they think will appeal to you. Hey, you like pizza, so you get pizza ads. I like telescopes and the Internet keeps trying to sell me the same scope I bought 6 months ago.

And if you ever see porn or "webcam" ads on your computer, guess what??? Someones been lookin'........

Try this for fun, if you own a fb account and have addblock simply dissable it, then click on the add ( X button ) within the "other" place the word "sex" , you should see within 24hrs, sex related ads within your fb right hand side add column. I do this for fun on colleagues fb accounts. Its another way to brighten someones day without him or her realizing it.
