No surprise here.

Our next chance is November 2012. Vote him out of office.

Oh that's right...liberals and moderates GOOD JOB FELLAS!!

Who wants to bet that he does not get re-elected? The election was ridged and any one who says it was not I feel sorry for them. Ask your self, did you vote for him? Do you know any one who did? Most likely the answer is going to be NO. I am not say that no one voted for him but I do not believe he got the votes need to win. It just does not add up and never has or will.

Exactly. And that's IF these are his comments. This is hearsay. We have no direct quote from Obama! This is a quote from Sarah Brady, for Christ's sake! Obama has to answer for what she says now?

That's what I get for slumming.

If the quote was really so damning, one of these articles would have linked back to the original article. Instead, they all just link back to each other.

This is hearsay. We have no direct quote from Obama!

So how about some direct quotes???

Q: Is the D.C. law prohibiting ownership of handguns consistent with an individual’s right to bear arms?

A: As a general principle, I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can’t constrain the exercise of that right, in the same way that we have a right to private property but local governments can establish zoning ordinances that determine how you can use it.

Q: But do you still favor the registration & licensing of guns?

A: I think we can provide common-sense approaches to the issue of illegal guns that are ending up on the streets. We can make sure that criminals don’t have guns in their hands. We can make certain that those who are mentally deranged are not getting a hold of handguns. We can trace guns that have been used in crimes to unscrupulous gun dealers that may be selling to straw purchasers and dumping them on the streets.

FactCheck: Yes, Obama endorsed Illinois handgun ban
Obama was being misleading when he denied that his handwriting had been on a document endorsing a state ban on the sale and possession of handguns in Illinois. Obama responded, “No, my writing wasn’t on that particular questionnaire. As I said, I have never favored an all-out ban on handguns.”

Actually, Obama’s writing was on the 1996 document, which was filed when Obama was running for the Illinois state Senate. A Chicago nonprofit, Independent Voters of Illinois, had this question, and Obama took hard line:

35. Do you support state legislation to:
a. ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns? Yes.
b. ban assault weapons? Yes.
c. mandatory waiting periods and background checks? Yes.

Obama’s campaign said, “Sen. Obama didn’t fill out these state Senate questionnaires--a staffer did--and there are several answers that didn’t reflect his views then or now. He may have jotted some notes on the front page of the questionnaire, but some answers didn’t reflect his views.”

Respect 2nd Amendment, but local gun bans ok
Q: You said recently, “I have no intention of taking away folks’ guns.” But you support the D.C. handgun ban, and you’ve said that it’s constitutional. How do you reconcile those two positions?

A: Because I think we have two conflicting traditions in this country. I think it’s important for us to recognize that we’ve got a tradition of handgun ownership and gun ownership generally. And a lot of law-abiding citizens use it for hunting, for sportsmanship, and for protecting their families. We also have a violence on the streets that is the result of illegal handgun usage. And so I think there is nothing wrong with a community saying we are going to take those illegal handguns off the streets. And cracking down on the various loopholes that exist in terms of background checks for children, the mentally ill. We can have reasonable, thoughtful gun control measure that I think respect the Second Amendment and people’s traditions.

I think Obama's stand on gun control and the banning of guns is quite clear. He supposedly studied Constitutional Law so I am sure he is aware of all the ways the Constitution can be circumvented. That is probably what the "Under the radar" phrase meant. That is if he did say that.

Great question, and one I've often pondered myself!

This article gives a good summary of the voter demographics. Pay special attention to the last paragraph of this excerpt:

Who voted for Obama?

Before we further define those constituencies, here, for the record, is a recap of the survey data concerning the presidential election.

Some 136.6 million Americans voted — a 64.1 percent turnout and the highest since 1908. Obama is the first Democrat to win a majority of the popular vote (53 percent) since Jimmy Carter. By sex, BHO’s support was 49 percent male and 56 percent female. By ethnic group, his support comprised 41 percent of Whites, 61 percent of Asians, 75 percent of Latinos and 95 percent of Blacks. By age, BHO’s largest support demographic was 66 percent of voters under the age of 30. By income, 52 percent of voters with more than $200,000 in annual income voted for Obama. By education, his support came from those without a college degree and those with a post-graduate degree.

So, his victory was largely due to support from non-whites, from those under 30, from those with the lowest income and education, and from a small number of voters at the other end of those spectrums, while those of middle age, income and education tended to support John McCain.

By religion, Obama received support from 46 percent of Protestant voters, 56 percent of Catholic voters and 62 percent of voters of other religions. BHO received 76 percent of atheist and agnostic voters.

The Barna Research Group looked at some other interesting characteristics of Obama voters: 57 percent of those who consider themselves “lonely or isolated,” 59 percent of those affected by the economic decline in “a major way,” and 61 percent of those who claim they are “stressed out” supported BHO.

So, considering the stats, the Democrats’ strategy of fomenting dissent and disunity by promoting themes of disparity was vital to Obama’s election. Indeed, the Left’s political playbook has only one chapter defining their modus operandi — “Divide-n-Conquer.” No wonder their national leadership calls itself the DnC.

In addition, he got 75% of the Jewish vote.

Look, if you did not know let me tell you. Obama lies. Obama lies. The truth is nowhere near him, Obama is a liar. If he says he holds a position that a socialist or marxist normally would not, you know it is a lie because Obama is a liar. You cannot trust anything he says, unless you accidentally catch him spouting off with no teleprompters around.

Most representatives were against the bailouts. But Wait! a closed door meeting with the president! Now most are FOR the bailouts. Forgetting all about what their constituents wanted.

I guess since our president learned politics in the Chicago crime ghetto's, he is just doing business how he thinks it should be. But back door, under the radar BS is the kind of stuff that most Americans frown upon Mr. President. Perhaps you should go back and re-read your campaign promises. Or you could have someone read them to you since the big words seem to make you stumble.
