I would like to put in a disclaimer before I begin. I suspect (although I may be wrong) that what follows is not what you will want to hear. I also would like to explain that all that follows is simply my personal experience, and opinion. I do not wish to convey contempt for any belief system. I feel that the road to God is very personal and varied. To each their own.

I get migraines. I get migraines with aura, without aura, and aura without head pain. There are personality changes that can be associated with these headaches and aura phenomenon, although not every one. I will become highly irritable, or withdrawn into my own head, usually erratic, and my normal preferences (food, music, routine) sometimes change. There is often confusion, and sometimes this is pronounced; I have forgotten how to get home on well-known routes, gone the wrong way through the check out lane at the grocery store, etc... and sometimes cannot communicate well. I have been blind in one eye or the other with these headaches, tingling sensations and muscle twitches (especially in the face), and there occasionally are auditory processing issues as well.

Current medical science does not understand migraines well. There is alot of hand-waving in this department. Many physicians, and psychiatrists tend to shrug off and sometimes minimize what they don't understand. I am not surprised that they ran a slew of tests and 'found nothing wrong or abnormal' so-to-speak.

I also hear voices, so does my mother and many of my aunts. They also get migraines. I do not know if any of this is paranormal. I do not pay any attention to the voices regardless; ( my internal joke is that I might listen to the voices if they spoke english... Which they rarely do.) I am inclined to think that there is some sort of auditory processing and/or hallucination phenomenon going on that may or may not be actually related to these headaches. I personally do believe this is primarily (if not completely) biological.

These headaches/episodes can also be triggered by stress, or an emotionally turbulent time. In my experience many "born again Christians" become so because of previous emotional trauma, or during times of current emotional duress; they are looking for stability, and the vaguely cult-like aspects to many born-again infrastructures can be particularly appealing to those that are vulnerable. Also in my experience, becoming a born again often adds to this emotional duress, causes more instability, and often an internal conflict. This may contribute to more headaches and associated physical and behavioral phenomenon.

I do not know for certain, but I strongly suspect that your son is not being attacked by any supernatural force malignant or otherwise. However, I also strongly believe that a spiritual approach can certainly be beneficial, and help aid and comfort the biological distress, as long as said approach is positive.

For what it^ is worth.

Regards, and good luck.

I'm not going to dig back for quotes or your previous posts.. if you're that concerned to read my previous posts in this thread to base where I do and don't belong I'm surprised you didn't go the whole monty and read all my posts in this board. Just because I don't put all my faith eggs in one basket doesn't mean I don't believe in or have extensive experience in the supernatural. It's more reckless to assume it's a demon without checking some of the signs that if you had been paying attention, I mentioned. Asking if the child heard the voice in its head and not from its ears, etc.

I was fairly respectful in my post, yet you take this opportunity to prove your point and tell me where to stick it. Demon it may be.. sickness it might just as well. Yes, I'm concerned for children. More important than any of this prayer and medicine is the child needs to feel secure, loved and to be distracted from their fear. If it's a demon or spirit, the training and help to learn to block it or any others out can come later. If it's a disease, many people have chimed in on what it may be.

Honestly it's in the mother's hands, not yours.. certainly not mine. I've never assumed to make her decisions for her, only give her as much information to make an informed decision as I can. Forgive me if that sounds like waffling or if I sound like I should be in "ask a doctor".

The child needs help and it's not going to be an easily found solution. Exorcism is a traumatic process and generally you take the easiest and shortest options *first* when trying to determine what the illness is. There's more time later for the long and extensive and often difficult to fathom paths. Determining if this is a demon and then getting an exorcism is one of those. If you think she hasn't been praying and asking God for help yet, maybe you haven't read anything here.

Why would demons effect people who are not living a God-fearing life? It would kind of be a waste of time would it not?

The US is not gonna terrorize Canada, because we don't fight against them. The same goes in the spiritual realm.

Okay, I read through the rest of all the postings since I last posted here last week (around page 9).

I don't deny that there is a possible spiritual factor in all of this, but I want to make sure that all of the medical aspects are addressed.

I had mentioned the possibility of a connection with being around Denver with the altitude issue, and over the weekend I was thinking that maybe there might be a condition that is associated with the altitude as well.

I began thinking that Sickle Cell Anemia might be a possibility here, maybe just Sickle Cell Trait. That condition would cause problems in a low-oxygen environment (often associated with high-altitudes), and exacerbated by dehydration.

Has your son ever been tested for Sickle Cell? It might have been done as part of a "hemoglobin electrophoresis" so see if there is the presence of any abnormal types of hemoblobin present in his blood that might affect the ability to carry oxygen to the body.

Best of wishes. I'll also pray for him.

Hi, I read your post and though we have never had any sort negative entities to that level, we have experienced quite a few spirits over the years. They are among us. My wife is busy right now, but I want her opinion about the course to take.
I know that numerous time she has burned sage to get them to go away. Go on your computer and look up

Didn't know it was so big.

There are all kinds of things to try, but in my belief there is a reason your family was chosen. Do a little research into family back ground or maybe the back ground of the home.

I am not a Professional spirit chaser but I have been around for a while. Please don't stop looking for help in other places. Don't deal with someone who wants to charge you money. There are many reputable people out there that will help from the heart.

Please, this is not for her to be blazed upon by people who do not share her spiritual ideologies. If you have something meaningful to say, with purpose and facts, have at it. That said, we are giving her advices on what we know to be truth, regardless of the masses acceptance of spiritual elements or not.

Hm.. Hotmail and instant, unquestioning assurance that they know everything. Not flaky at all, no.

If you had enough experience to handle a ward that would temporarily seal a demon you would know there are many things that would cause the symptoms her son has and some of them aren't supernatural.. and some of them aren't helped by wards.

I really hope anyone that truly needs help with something as difficult as a demon doesn't take you seriously. It could be pretty disastrous for everyone involved.

Maybe you should try limiting the kid's intake of TV, music made by big companies and films. It seems big companies are in cahoots with the CIA and insert subliminal messages that can more easily affect kids than adults.

truthquake.com... n-roulette-devilish-history/

In above article, Rihanna is exposed as being a member of the Illuminati cult and is said to brainwash people in her videos and songs. Tiffany Evans and Rihanna's own actions display these things. I think kids can become brainwashed by subliminals.

We're in the 21st century FFS, I don't see how people can still believe that demonic possession is the cause of mental illness

Ugh.. I thought I was done with the Conspiracy Theorists when I left that board shaking my head feeling like I had just wandered through the paranoid schizophrenic part of the mental ward.

First. Subliminal messages can be interpreted but they don't brainwash. The next time you sleep the subliminal message is wiped because the brief acknowledgement of the data is stored in the subconscious and that's not really responsible for long term memories. You'd be more influenced by a billboard you pass and read every day on the way to work than one of those.. Can't get those corporate jingles out of your head sometimes? There's a reason for it. Song is easier to link as a memory device than pure words. It's why we remember our ABC's in song and not speech.

As far as a Pop Star serving the illuminati? Maybe.. maybe not. Still sounds crazy but as I stated above, music is a very powerful tool to affect long term memory if listened to repeatedly. It can affect your morals and judgements in a subtle way.. I personally can't stand listening to songs that deal with infidelity or murder in a light, praising tone. The message that's sent in lyrics and the enjoyment of the music link together in a profound way. Sooner or later you begin to enjoy the message. You begin to associate feelings of pleasure from the idea. Even if you're not morally inclined to the concept. That's what's so dangerous. It bypasses your logic and goes straight for the hormonal bits and endorphins.

Anyhow. That aside.. TV and Radio can be educational and you're pegging Rihanna as if a 7 year old boy listens to that kind of topical crap in a Catholic family. I also highly doubt they're throwing subliminal brainwashing on Sesame Street.. so lighten up with the "Powers that Be are out to control you and everything you love" crap.

Erm.. why not? If you believe that demons exist you should understand they affect the mind the strongest. If you know anything about mental illness you know that it isn't always chemical. It can even be caused by another human being.. trauma, brainwashing.. you think a demon is above using the tactics?

If you don't believe in demons.. the question begs.. why are you here? Why did you respond to this thread? To call someone out because you don't like what they said? Say something helpful, this thread is about helping the child, not the mother. Think about that.

I think the first matter to address is getting his migranes under control.

Best medicine I've found is simply OTC Excedrine Migrane. It is a combination of asprin and caffine. It doesn't sounds like much but the combination of the two common substances produces the migrain-calming effect. I'm not sure if this medication is OK for children his age so you might want to check the bottle, and confir with a doctor if necessary.

I would also get him a sleep mask, an inexpensive one but one that will keep all light out. If he needs it, it is there for him. If there is a light-sensitivity component to it, he will gladly use it on his own as needed.

Remember to keep a bucket next to him when he is feeling really nauseous. He might toss his cookies.

Even if there is not total releif of the symptoms of migrane, these should mitigate them to the point where he remains healhty enough to function in life.

If the migraines are severe, then he might need a special shot from time to time. I forget what the medication is called but a doctor would know what you are talking about.

Always remember that its him with the medical issue, not you. While the emotional worrying about him might be always on your mind, always remember that its about him, not you. Because of this, let him let you know what works and what doesn't, what he prefers and what he doesn't. And be HIS advocate during any meetings with doctors.

A person's (even a child's) pain threshold is variable from person to person. Some children find that they would rather spend time doing normal things with medium pain, than going through a whole course of diagnosis, treatment and medication to get to low threshold. Please keep this in mind, as the child might choose (as it is his illness) to forgo a lot of the hassles that it sometimes takes to get maximum effect. Sometimes optimal effect is not maximum effect.

Doctors aren't stupid. A specialist might be just a bit better than a GP, but one you have 2 or 3 opinions, it is best to accept their collective judgement. Any more than this and you are incurring to much expense and time that could be used more productively, for your son, yourself, and your family.

I apologize for not reading this entire thread, so if this is a repeat of previous advice on migraines, I apologize.

I will return in the future to see how you have reacted to this information and give you more as needed, if it is helpful to you.

Hope your son is doing as well as possible.

Because demons don't exist, that's the point. The OP originally said that her husband heard voices and was diagnosed with schizophrenia, then she said there son started to experience the same symptoms. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what is wrong with her son.

I am here, because I don't want people giving the OP advice, saying that he is possessed by demons, when in actual fact her son has a mental illness.

The fact of the matter is: the kid is hearing voices, now either it could be mental illness which we know his father had and we know can be hereditary and is well documented. Or it could be a demon, of which we have no proof that they even exist. Occam's razor.

I would have agreed with you once upon a time. Honestly, I don't blame those who haven't experienced demons for not believing in them. I understand that you think you're doing the OP a world of good by being "the only sane voice in a rabble of bad advice and madmen". Honestly, isn't that a little arrogant and self-assured? Do this because I said so and this is what I believe is the truth.

It's her child. There are more things out there than you can fathom. If you think you have a whole grasp on the nature of the universe, that's bordering on grandiose behavior. If you don't believe in demons and your answer to the whole thing is that he simply has a mental disorder, you don't have much medical knowledge and I question what you're doing posting in a paranormal forum.

Slight correction to your post, it's not Aspirin which is an NSAID, but it's Acetaminophen and Caffeine. Other than that you're absolutely correct and a total dosage of about 500mg of both which I believe is a double dose of that medicine is roughly equivalent to a prescription migraine medicine called Butabetol.. (I may be wrong on the spelling of it.) Either way, both work wonders for migraines and whatever the source, will be good for him. I might cut the dosage in half since he's a young boy, possibly start with a quarter dose and work up from there to find full effectiveness.

Note he'll be jazzed up on rocket juice when he takes it as even 100mg of caffeine is roughly equivalent to two cups of coffee. I wouldn't give it to him near bedtime, possibly give him benadryl or something light on the system to help him sleep through it. That's another option for migraines. The NSAID class pain relievers such as Aspirin may or may not help then, you might want to get some low dose or baby aspirin for him to try it out.

No

Do this because I said so and this is what I believe is the truth.

No, do this because it is the most logical and rational choice, is also well documented and is treatable. Rather than demons did it, let's pray to Jeeesus

It's her child.

Maybe so, but would that give her the right to kill him?

There are more things out there than you can fathom. If you think you have a whole grasp on the nature of the universe, that's bordering on grandiose behavior.

I don't think I have a grasp on everything. I am telling her to go with the more sane choice

If you don't believe in demons and your answer to the whole thing is that he simply has a mental disorder, you don't have much medical knowledge

Oh right. Because I said that he has a genuine medical condition, rather than he is infected by a magical creature that doesn't even exist, I'm the think one?

and I question what you're doing posting in a paranormal forum.
