I didn't even know Adobe had OCR. I can't do that since I don't have Adobe Acrobat Pro, but I shall take your word for it. Since its Optimize, it should explain why the signature is present in the OCR layer. Thanks.

I was thinking the same, but maybe Acrobat Pro recognizes stamps and/or different types of images or something. I agree regular OCR definately would not, but maybe Acrobat does, I cant speak before Ive tried, and I shall try once I get an evaluation copy of Acrobat Pro (a thing I've always wanted to do, but so far have not).

Either way I think we can all agree on one thing... SOMETHING is going on.. The timing of all this, etc... This was no accident.

I don't want anyone to take my word on anything, but if you don't have time to go through all that hassle there are plenty of others who have taken the time and researched the document.

That's the point. Conspiracy nuts and birthers are going to eat this up like it's a steak dinner, and proceed to argue about it. Once everyone's attention is elsewhere, something important will happen, or numbers that could seriously hurt him in the polls will come out.

Yes, the birthers have once again been proven to be wrong,so they start making up more rubbish.

I looked at some old birth certificates (real ones) and compared this "photocopy" just to see, and the typed entries don't look the same. This document that Obama has released does not look like it was actually typed on a 1950s-1960s era typewriter.

You do all know that you don't have to be born here to be President right? Just one of your parents has to be a citizen.
We should probably spend our time and resources towards things that actually matter. This reminds me of that time I argued with my wife about the cat. You didn't read my reply did you? Aren't you also aware that Hawaii digitized most of their records years ago, and text recognition software is exactly what every government, company, doctor's office, etc. use in order to maintain a searchable database of important records? As someone already said, it's done with tax records, with medical records, and with vital government records. You keep saying, "it's not OCR, it's not OCR" but this is exactly what we would expect from a state that digitized their documents and then later electronically signed, dated, stamped and released them using software such as adobe...Again, we already know that Hawaii maintains a digital searchable database. Thus these documents had already been scanned with OCR years ago. You really think the whitehouse is that stupid to leave in all these elements if they were really forging the thing? Absolutely not! What you are seeing is intentional and it's simply a result by which electronic copies are processed by the state.

Thank you for that breakdown. I really had no idea a scanned document could be separated up like that with acrobat. I just tried it with a scanned file I had and got VERY similar results to the layered BC document. Try it out and see for yourselves guys and I believe you will also consider this DEBUNKED.

I hear lots of people talking about how obamas not born in the country and I think if we just start from the assumtion that he wasnt, whats the next step? I mean say we can proove it what happens next? If I rememeber correctly bubba was impeached by the house or the senate but he got to stick around a while and bomb syria....... If so, please state who you are, what company you own/work for and your years of experience. All I am seeing currently are a lot of "arm chair nerds" debating nuances in terms of format and OCR tech.

Is anyone here vetted by Skeptic O as a true veteran in digital image manipulation/graphic arts?

This should be a quick open/shut case for anyone in the industry. People, please. I already posted the reddit link, by people that seem much more knowledgeable than anyone here.

Lets move beyond manipulation, and to the question *why* this document was released in the manner/format it was. THAT should be the telling sign of a conspiracy.

I've lost so much faith in the concept of coincidence.

Clearly, there is more to this than meets the eye on this matter.
