I've used illustrator and I've used InkScape, both having the same results of these being in groups of bitmap images. And I am not a birther, I am a truther.

Good eye OP! Theres so much naysaying in this thread it's insane! Now, I haven't made any concrete decisions based on this info myself, but if anything, I can appreciate what has been pointed out. Scanned documents are stored as a simple image (.aif, .jpeg, .gif, etc.) but if the PDF shows that layering was used on the doc, then it stands to reason it was put into an image editing program and fiddled with somehow. I don't know if it's cause they changed info about his father, completely forged it, tried to make it look nicer or some other reason. But I will say that this is interesting information and it shouldn't be just overlooked. My 2 cents.

But they are not considered legal ID anyone. Plenty of people claim to have them, that part is true. Lots of people claim to use them. That part has been proven untrue. Not one state accepts the footprint birth certificate when applying for a driver's license or passport and thanks to the web we can look them all up. These claims have come and gone unproven for years. Yes, I bet you have them. I bet you had no idea how worthless they were.

I love how Obama is being portrayed as "mr. reasonable" saying its time to "focus on the real issues." So whats Obama been doing in the meantime, NOT focusing on the real issues!

And I've had it with the birther label. We are all so obsessed with labels that whatever group is given a crazy label like "birther" or "truther", whatever they say is automatically dismissed.

The way I see it, most "birthers" are skeptical of obama's citizenship status and looking for real evidence.

That's the whole point of this thread smart guy. The problem is that 'someone' released it as an official document.

I've used photoshop for years for video game graphics and art. Layering is something I use all the time. Why do I use it? To create and image out of several other images. Documents don't come in layers automatically, you have to manually crop and paste seperate images onto the same pallet thus creating new layers every time a new image is pasted. Concluding that this document was put together one piece at a time, or in other words, forged.

I honestly don't even care if its real or not, but to an experienced photoshopper this is pretty damn convincing...

I had to log in just to star and flag this post. I'm not sure about whether the BC is a fake but if Obama spent 5 million trying to hide it these last few years why would he release it now? Why go through all that trouble and expense just to release it anyway? Something isn't right...

very recently got another copy of mine, its about the 3rd time I'm aware of that I've had to in my short time here, what can I say my family is terrible at keeping up with important documents.

But there is no footprint on mine. State of Texas if that helps.

I dont see how a footprint would be on a legal document though. I remember seeing the souvenir one with a footprint but not a real one.

I live 20 Minutes from the White House and Could have Exported that Illustrator File Properly to Conceal the Digitization!

It should have been Printed then Scanned. We should be looking at a Scanned Document with Zero Vectors on it.

Goes to show, you can't buy talent!

The name of the hospital where Obama was supposed to be born didn’t change to Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until Kauikeolani Children’s Hospital merged with Kapi‘olani Maternity Home in 1978. So how could his official long form birth certificate that was generated in 1961 have the name of the hospital that wasn’t created until 1978?

You don't CREATE the layers when it imports. They are already there. Clueless one. How much are you being paid, just curious?
