The Three Roadblocks to America's Greatness?

This was in the comments of the blog This Can't Be Happening in America that I find myself agreeing with... I know there is already a thread on the blog itself, but I thought this comment deserved it's own thread...

I've been thinking about this for a while. IMO there are three main things which form a roadblock to the vision which various groups have for America. Whether these groups consider themselves capitalist, socialist, communist, libertarian, anarchist, conservative, liberal etc. these things must be accomplished before any further reform can take place.

1) Immediate withdrawal from all foreign occupations and police actions. This is draining our economy, wasting tax money and hurting the moral standing of America. The role of the military is to protect us from attack. Not to occupy other countries to protect the interests of business and keep the oil flowing.

2) Disband the Federal Reserve. We will have disagreements on where to take the money system afterwards, but I believe most of us agree this is a must.

3) Demand reform of campaign finance. I personally propose a system with a cap of $100 dollars per individual per candidate. It's time to get big business out of the system, but of course this can be further discussed and fine tuned.

We must work to educate the population as to the larger problems which are lost in the mix of all the moronic bickering. America's good moral standing must be again. I personally believe the only way to accomplish these things is to put aside our differences and work together to accomplish these things.

A group of non-violent revolutionaries focused on what binds them rather than what divides. After these goals are accomplished all these groups will have a louder voice which is no longer drowned out by those who have little respect for human life, those who dictate policy and who we are to vote for through the exorbitant costs of campaigning.

Then, ultimately, it will be up to the American voters through truly free and fair elections to decide what direction this country goes in.

I too wonder if America is ready. I think if they can be reached there is a very large number who would join in such a cause and jumpstart the souls of the rest of America.

The dead end road we're on now must be opened to through traffic and accesss the unending superhighway of America's future. Thoughts?

What do you guys think? Is this a possibility, or just a pipedream? Would you be willing to participate in such a movement? Are these the three main roadblocks, or do you see bigger ones?

There is no way to save America my friend. The world is too inter-dependant on each other at this point. Trying to save America will only result in greater hardship. America must die, America WILL die. So will England, Iran, and other "Sovereign" nations. We are not defined as our nations any longer. We are an interconnected people of the Earth. Which is why a "New World Order" will be put in place and the old empires will be thrown aside.

Americans will ease through the transition with less personal pain when they stop looking at themselves as "Americans" and instead look at themselves as Human beings. Then they will not see others as "Iranians", "Mexicans", "Iraqis", and other false labels that only serve to divide us as a species.

Do not mourn too much for the loss of the nation, for we will gain the world.

Nations are not the only thing collapsing. Religions are falling in on themselves as well. Man is waking up to the fact that the spirit is within himself and that he does not need a go between external to himself. Such go betweens only serve their own purposes. So, labels such as "Christian", "Muslim", "Jew" and even the traditions that go with them will be tossed in the rubbish heap of our history. Each Man will be free once more to pursue his thoughts free of outside intervention.

All is going to plan my friend. A house divided cannot stand.

While I kind of agree with you...

I must argue that the NWO isn't going to happen tomorrow... I think America will still be around for a few years...

Americans need to do something to remedy the situation until then. No?

As we are the most diverse people on earth having opened our shores to Christian, Jew, and Mohammedan alike, having promised freedom to men of all colors and creeds, having been founded on freedom and equality for all, I would sincerely hope that the people of America would wake up and take the lead.

The only way to do so is to fulfil the promise of liberty, that all men would be free. Man cannot be free while he is a slave to capitalist enterprises. Man cannot be free when he is a slave to his ideology. Man cannot be free when he is not willing to protect the freedom of his neighbor. Man cannot be free when he not willing to stand up and die for it. No! He is a slave to the preservation of his flesh!

So while the people of America have the potential to do something in time, it is up to them to let go of the shackles which bind them.

Who cares about freedom though? American Idol is on!

P.S. That is what the Plan at the bottom of my posts is for.

I would think the three biggest things holding us back would be, 1. Dems and the left in general, 2. Political correctness 3. Entitlements and unchecked illegal immigration. All three are horrible for our country, and need to be dealt with.
