I'm not looking forward to the wedding, however, I AM looking forward to it being over so they'll shut up about it. Sheesh! Sometimes I think I'm going to puke if I hear mention of it one more time! Don't blame you for starting a survey though. I haven't read through, but I figure I would probably see many more opinions like mine. I wish they would just shut up about it already.

Don't care in the slightest, however I might perk up if a porn video comes out of it. Then again...

I will predict the results of this ATS Survey.

Question: "Are You Looking Forward Towards The Royal Wedding?"

No. I am horrified at the prospect of witnessing a high-level reptoid spawning ritual: 43%

No, becuasue the wedding isn't really happening. It's being faked by NASA: 26%

Are you kidding me? Don't look at that little glowing box. It will trap your mind forever: 28%

Look, the royals have yet to produce their certificates of royalty, and the copies they half-heartedly waved at the press last year lacked raised or embossed seals, and the signatures were different: 7%

Wait a minute, the UK is off the coast of Europe? I've slipped into a different reality track!: 4%

Not interested in the hyped up wedding.

But, this young man will be the next King of England... his father will never wear the crown.

Better for pomp and ceremony that watching an American election.

Royalty is something that is not respected, usually out of jealousy but it is interesting to note the security of countries that have a secure monarchy... Monaco, Belgium, Denmark, Lichenstein, Oman, Bahrain, Dubai, Brunei etc.

Having a successon of Kings or Queens tends to bring more security than a president with an agenda different to the government before and one before that etc. It's not always the case as history is full of bad Kings as well as bad presidents and leaders.

But democracy is not all it's cracked up to be. I feel safer in Dubai, Brunei or Monaco than I do in USA or Australia. The UK is becoming more like an Islamic country ever year and you'll see more in jeans in streets like Lahore than you'll sometime see in parts of London. (ok so I got off topic).

I like the principle of a monarchy, I'd feel secure under one without a separate government.

Wasting something like £45 million of tax payer's money is nothing worth celebrating about. After the hysterics of Friday are over, nothing will have changed except the country will be $45 million worse off.

There's a lot of grumpyness in this thread. You do know the wedding is being paid for out of the Royal Family's private money don't you? That was made very clear months ago. Also any associated costs such as additional policing, etc will surely be more than covered by all the revenue this wedding will make. Just look at how many people have already headed down to London just because of this wedding? It'll be great for the local economy!

As for whether I'll be watching, I am interested in this as I like the fact we have a Royal Family, but the truth is I HATE weddings, so I'll be drinking excessively tonight, getting up around lunch tomorrow and will probably have it on in the background. I certainly don't intend to make a point of sitting down in front of the TV to watch it.

Yes...I am looking forward to this wedding...I really like the romance and beauty of it all....I am a big fan of Princess Diana....she was such a good mother and a wonderful humanitarian. I am sure she will be watching from heaven. I think the royal family is a good family....I think Kate is more than ready to enter into this marriage as is William. They have been good friends for 8 years....and I know this marriage will last until one of them passes away. I wish for them a wonderful happy life!

Funny looking hats you say? Princess Beatrice looked like a chocolate coated Cyberman! What on earth was she thinking?

I intended to have it on, sadly I was sleeping off the hangover from hell so only saw the highlights. It was nice to see so many people down in London enjoying themselves and getting into the spirit!

Fine, I am going to break down and post on one of these threads. I wasn't going to. I did not want to contribute any more attention to it, but I have been suckered in. That is as much as you are going to get from me on that, even though I am now as bad as the people complaining about people giving attention to it, who are giving attention to it by complaining.
