news.yahoo.com...

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. – Floodwaters threatened earthen levees protecting thousands of homes in the nation's midsection Tuesday, rising so fast in some places that panicked residents didn't have time to pile up sandbags.

Storms have unleashed more than a foot of rain across the region, and the forecast offered little hope for relief. Another, larger system was brewing along the same path, bringing several more days of rain and the possibility of tornadoes.

I live in north TX and the storms have been going crazy lately! Its not like we havent seen this kind of stuff before here, but its still pretty crazy.

Just thought I would share this. Might be best to be prepared if you live near some of these leeves.

Yea unfortunately this happens. This is one of the only times i'd recommend people to have a bug out bag ready. Nothing like firearms or stuff but maybe some rope and medical supplies. That flood water can be a tricky devil sometimes and be on top of you before you realize it.
