US and Mexico about to escalate the stupid drug war

Every win for the government is a loss for the people it is supposedly representing. I am sick of seeing all of our money thrown to lost causes. Legalize drugs, the cartels lose, our national loser population will wipe themselves out on the hard stuff, peace loving hippies get their dope. And we can throw the saved monies to educate youngsters on self medication, and that prescription drugs are worse than everything. The hypocracy of the entire situation makes me want to kick puppies. Conservative pompas asses tell you drugs are bad, leave, pop a viagra, bang their mistress, drink themselves to sleep feeling accomplished. I hate all of them.

Granted some people do abuse drugs like marijuana but what is the alternative? To have them hooked for a lifetime on drugs like Prozac and Abilify as a treatment for their depression?

Wow! Your reasoning on this topic is very biased. Have you ever smoked? If not, then you have a second-hand perspective and shouldn't discriminate against others that have a different mindset. I consider myself a pothead, and I'm a fitness trainer, qualified lifeguard, and I've served in the U.S. Navy. Oh yeah, I'm only 21, so the fact that I relax and kick it with Puff the Magic Dragon hasn't discouraged my progress or efficiency.

Also, do you play video games? Video games serve no purpose as well; You don't achieve anything, and they're played "just for the hell of it." Should those be illegal too? What about T.V.? Concert's? Maybe you should consider all aspects of your statement before bashing a "group" of people.

Legalizing marijuana would also stimulate some economic growth in this country. Tourism would be up, we would have more jobs, and plus, the taxes would continue to help the government.

One more thing. Have you ever heard of survival of the fittest? It's when one person/animal/plant continues to exist while another person/animal/plant ceases to survive. Why should I have to surrender my right of liberty because some stupid person abused the drug, well actually it's a plant?

Like I stated earlier, you should think before you "speak."
