Five days after the passenger ship the Titanic sank, the crew of the rescue ship Mackay-Bennett pulled the body of a fair-haired, roughly 2-year-old boy out of the Atlantic Ocean on April 21, 1912. Along with many other victims, his body went to a cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where the crew of the Mackay-Bennett had a headstone dedicated to the "unknown child" placed over his grave.

A bittersweet ending to one of the mysteries of the Titanic. Since its re-discovery in the 1980s, it seems that science has solved most of the mysteries surrounding the boat. Other then the big question, could they really be that stupid?
I think the fact that any children died at all is a tragedy.
I wonder who the other unknown victims are, though if the their remains are completely decomposed, they might never be able to find out.

I live at the beach and every time i walk to the end of the pier on a cold night i can't help but think what those poor people went through as i look at the icy waves! God Bless all those souls who suffered beyond belief!
