I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet but I warn you.. I am almost certainly going to tangent off into a million different directions and end up leaving you with more questions than answers..

During my so far short life I have noticed that the internet is steadily taking over most aspects of our life. Commerce, Media, Social Life and many more aspects are run via the internet. How long is it going to take until education is run solely on the internet to cut the costs of teaching staff and establishments? Kids are already losing the ability to socialise and make friends properly due to things like Facebook and online computer gaming. When we cut out the social skills learnt at school we have even more of a problem.

Soon literally everything will be run on the internet. Physical money will be non existent. We will probably all be on those RFiD chips if we want to get anywhere in this crappy system and EVERYTHING will be run and controlled via the internet.

Once this happens we have some serious problems that can and probably will occur. For instance..

Cyber warfare: This is already becoming a problem and looks to be a likely new weapon for World War 3 when it happens. Even now you could cripple a western country and bring it to its knees from a network anywhere in the world if only you had the tools and manpower available... which most governments do.

Cyber Terrorism: YAWN.

Cyber Tyranny: This could get REALLY bad people. We could be forced to do literally anything otherwise we could get kicked out of the system and starve to death. I don’t even want to begin to think of what Tyranny in an age solely dependent on the internet would be like, it is a scary thought.

What WOULD cyber tyranny be like? We are already experiencing it in mild form, i.e. Internet censorship. That is nothing compared to what is to come though..

I'm tuned in, turned on, logged in, signed on, and have still yet to begin.. I have been uploaded, downloaded, and mainlined straight into the mainstream.. I am a idea, a theory planted in society.. Not quite a threat.. More of a virus of unlimited capability, Still not quite there yet..

I am one, I am all.. I exist within you, you within me.. I am energy, That has been downloaded into your hard drive, Then uploaded into your network.. Theory is spread.. I am spread.. You are spread.. Through means of traffic, on a never ending, always flowing never slowing information highway.. Filled with my ideas, your ideas, All within a matrix of ideas..Built on a never ending theory..

We are "real" through acts of love, This is what separates our reality, from a virtual reality.. A computer which has no emotion, Can not grasp the idea of love, Though it may be programed to do so.. Acts of love seek no reward, And put good will in the hearts of others.. How's that for a revolution ?

Listen pal, The next revolution is going to be a revolution of ideas, Downloaded, uploaded and programed towards recoding social theology..

We need a change we can grasp, That is within our means to comprehend, The only truth is change..The only way is to move forward.. Through a revolution of ideas, Spread through a intricate network of unlimited social capability's..

I give you Revolution social network.

Sorry for the long post.. If nothing else your thread has giving me a outlet to vent these ideas..

We are definitely experiencing cyber tyranny in the form of censorship. There is a lot going on in the world right now that's being kept from the general population and most of what we see on the internet is there for the sole purpose of distraction. Supposed alternative news sources like RT, AJE, and NHK only exist to satiate the curious mind. It's all manipulation. Most of what you see right here on ATS, and I'm not knocking ATS because there is a lot of valuable information here, is nothing more than distraction. While we're off looking for UFOs, trying to ascend, or prove the existence of god we're slowly being killed, being poisoned, and being enslaved. Which is exactly what TPTB want. After all the internet started out as a DARPA project. An easy way to win hearts and minds. Looks like they're winning.

I can imagine: When the education system shuts down as a whole, kids need to attend internet school via webcam. That way, parents are able to continue to work while the net 'teachers', with the aid of software, watch over hundreds of thousands of kids and ensure they are attending to their lessons.

I made a thread similar to this a while ago titled the internet - total freedom or the beginning of enslavement. My basic premise was, considering the amount of networking prevalent in modern society and the largescale corporate takeover of the internet, this is largely a success for the tyrants as opposed to the people considering the increasing integration of a persons actions online and the logging of every thought, interest, opinion and image of an individual and the storage of this data.
Search engines are the benevolent dictators of the internet, total freedom of information (within reason) yet at the same time 100% surveillance and data storage of every human being integrated into the system. As technology improves no doubt more and more basic actions will require voluntary integration into this system for their features etc to work.
We can see this more and more with mobile phone technology etc, tracking peoples whereabouts etc.

I think that cyber tyranny is kind of misunderstood. We cannot claim tyranny when we voluntarily give everything and anything for free, just so we can say we have friends on Facebook/MySpace, or even our star and flag system here. Why would they want to shut us down, or control what we write? When we are all so open to discuss on public forums anything and everything we do.

We have no secrets. Do a Google search of things that you have written, on any site, and not only what you wrote will be available but your I.P address as well. I think that the tyranny will come when you cannot search without leaving details of who you are and where you are. Right now we have anonymity, we can still search places like ATS, without being a member.

I think its all to dependent on who searching, and why. We cannot hide from the government, its impossible. People should have been aware of this quite a while ago.

Peace, NRE.
