1) "War is cool! Support the troops! Remember 9/11! We gotta be tough, or the terrorists / russians / chinese will win!"

Yeah that was a good line of theirs, “Support our unconstitutional wars or you’re un-American”.

2) "Deregulate everything, let the free market decide!"

I would like to know when this was. All that has happened since the beginning of ‘deregulation’ is they take the smart and essential regulations away such as Glass-Steagull and replace it with more controlling regulations so as to create government backed monopolies.

3) "Medicare? That's SOCIALISM!!!! We need that money to give welfare to the military-industrial complex!"

Not everyone who calls for ending Medicare wants that money to be appropriated to the military congressional industrial complex. Please, try not to generalize.

"Can't be happening in America?" This is just hte logical conclusion of every American policy since the 1880's, compounded by the psychosis of blind ignorance that has always been so fashionable among the majority of America's population.

Ignorance has not always been fashionable as we have been lulled to sleep several times but generally we awoken quite early. Since about the 1890s I would argue we have been going down the slippery slip of listening to bed time stories ignoring the fact that just behind us there are large corporations demolishing small businesses, factories being closed to send the jobs overseas, weapon production skyrocketing, and being told that yes is no, up is down, and black is white.

They have done a mighty fine job convincing us that government = good, war = good, hate = good, and everything we believed before was purely old fashioned heresy. “But I thought we supported minding our own business in foreign policy?” “I have one question for you Mr. American, do you love your country?” “Yes I do” “Well then you better support our wars for profit and empire or you’re un-American. Here take this flag, wave it nice and gently, also take this duck tape, put it over your mouth… Look here we have a real patriot!”

thats the problem they are looking outword hence the word "global"

when they should be looking from within themselves and the people of this great nation.

america was doing pretty damn good til the globalist elites took over.

the answers are here at home and they always have been.

Not to mention, we were doing well till all the beloved liberal statist/interventionists came along. And deemed us as idiots who couldn't make a decision for ourselves.

Please educate yourself on the Constitution, then post a correct list.

The one you posted sounds like it was done by some big government supporter.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

2nd amendment

I care not for the different trials that have put new meaning to the text. Neither for this studpid "From my dead hands bla bla bla".
I care for the text. A well regulated militia is what it says.

"
militia [mɪˈlɪʃə]
n
1. (Military) a body of citizen (as opposed to professional) soldiers
2. (Military) an organization containing men enlisted for service in emergency only
"

Not every Tom, Dick and Harry. A body of citizen (well regulated).

Quite simply you are wrong, here's why:

The first phrase "well regulated militia" is DEPENDENT upon the right of the free people to keep and bear arms.

History, judicial rulings, and the founding fathers own words all prove you wrong.

You argue on mere opinion, lets try sticking to facts.

Just because you are a proponent of big government and less freedom does not entitle you to your own facts. Hell, you live in one of the highest taxed nations on the planet, why do you even choose to debate the topic of freedom?

Why are you so afraid of a mere object that poses you no harm whatsoever unless it is operated by a human?

Without an armed civilian population (especially with a government as power hungry as ours) we would have no means to defend ourselves against our own tyrannical regime. Without an armed population what is to stop them from marching troops into every community, enslaving us all and declaring "There is nothing you can do about it". (They do it to others, they will do it to us)

Most Americans would agree that is the primary use of the 2nd Amendment in today's world.. although it may not be the intended use..

I would also not go as far as to call the General population indifferent as stated by the OP.. Not a day goes by where I do not hear someone declaring what they would like to do about the state and federal government...

At this point.. most of us feel there is nothing we can do about it.

I also think that what you stated earlier about religious groups influencing the govt only applies to a few fringe issues... The larger issues are 100% corporate interests and you're right in saying they do not give a flying fart in space about the population of this country...

Indifferent? Many but not most... Terrified? All of us.... Do we think we can do anything about it? Outside elections.. not really...

ABSOLUTELY INDEED.

WELL PUT.

Have been studying the satanic globalists for 45 years . . .

Yet it has STILL been shocking to see the speed with which their destructiveness has been spread, deepened, intensified . . . particularly with the last/current designated destroyer in the White House.

I still think they will make him a scapegoat at some point and throw him under the bus.

A big part of me thinks that's a big reason he partys so much and spends so much time outside of Wash DC. He must know that is either likely or long planned--for them to make him a scape-goat and throw him under the bus--essentially--for doing what they created, trained, conditioned, ordered him to do.

I`d imagine you can make your list a lot bigger.
I don`t think the treatment of Bradley Manning would have been allowed by the American public 10 years ago.

I think a good idea would be for people to post your list of ten on their social network accounts so that more people will wake up to what is going on.

Nice thread. S+F.

Well I beg to differ.
A well regulated militia is formed by citizen who, when part of the militia, has every right to keep and bear arms.

All the text says is that there must be a militia and that any free man can be part of it and then have the right to bear arms.

History, judicial rulings, and the founding fathers own words all prove you wrong.

Any text can be refuted by learned people and people who have an agenda.
You are just standing on the shoulders on those who agree with you.

***snip***
Just because you are a proponent of big government and less freedom does not entitle you to your own facts. Hell, you live in one of the highest taxed nations on the planet, why do you even choose to debate the topic of freedom?

Well - we might be heavily taxed, but that is partly because we don't have to have health insurance. When we get ill or have an accident it is all paid for.

Also we have very few toll roads. It's all paid for.

We enter an old peoples home absolutely gratis. It's all paid for.

We get a state pension. It's all paid for.

Granted that the situation is partly changing mainly due to that world crisis, which by the way basically was caused by the greed of US bankers and loan companies. Just another good reason for loving USA.

Why are you so afraid of a mere object that poses you no harm whatsoever unless it is operated by a human?

I'm also afraid of the atomic bomb - or nuclear device as we have to call it now.

Guns don't kill people. People do. Bah Humbug.
It is so much easier with a gun isn't it?

No - to be frank - the gun itself doesn't frighten me. It is the news of six year olds that bring a gun to school. It is the news we see of Gun nutters who say that they have a right to bear arms and then show a collection of guns and rifles. It is the news we see of a police trooper who show off by emptying an M16 into a target less than six feet away. It is the news we see where there is a sign on a gate warning people that "Tresspassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again." It is posts on places like ATS where people claim to have the right to use leathal force if people enter their driveway. It is the news we see of schools that now have metal detectors at the entrance.

A gun is designed to kill. People buy a mere object that is designed to kill. It's probably that.

I've been sensing "scapegoat" for quite some time as well. Reasons?

1 - All the crap that was dropped at his feet when he entered office. The timing was perfect!

2 - This whole "let's not look back, let's look forward" junk. Think of all the everyday situations where you would think this is totally a cop-out. Someone tries to burn your house down and you decide to ignore it because it's not worth investigating? Sorry, don't think so!

3 - The continuation of policies he was specifically elected to bring an end to. I simply cannot fathom how Obama's supporters were thrown under the bus after he entered office.

Strikes me as though he is just following "orders". Now, if we can begin to truly grasp who is issuing these orders and take the necessary steps...THAT would be a righteous turnaround.

People, especially the younger generation, need to wake up and open their eyes to whats going on around them. Turn off the ipod, get off your x-box, put down your double mocha, half calf imitation coffee and see what this country is becoming. Our rights are being stripped away at an alarming rate and the younger generation has no idea why youre freaking out? They see this as normal
