I am fairly new here on ATS. I am a man of faith and I believe that if you look for problems, you'll find them. Respect is earned by giving respect in return. I would like to know everyone's opinion on this life that we all share together. What are we here for, as the individuals, and families we are? I have a pretty good idea why I'm here. What can happen to either make or break us? What are we supposed to do in this crazy, twisted, backwards world we live in. Brothers turn against brothers, friends fight friends. Instead of magnifying the works of a life-saver
we idolize life destroyers. Scandilous acts and idolizing finite things make up who we are. Our leaders lead against us with disinformation at every turn. This is clearly a rant of personal feelings, but I would really like to understand why innocent people are more and more each day being given the short stick.
How do you feel about the way the world is going? Peace to you for the greater good.

Welcome aboard PB80, and thanks for sharing you're faith without preaching. Tis crazy times and the frequency of tragedy sure seems to be happening at a faster pace. How to deal with it? Faith for some surely, also love, courage and innovation can help us thru the times, imo. Being passive these days seems to allow too much negativity to pour into our lives, whereas actively trying to make a difference/contribution creates more positive resonance, both for us and others. So maybe some volunteer work helping others is one thing we can do to maintain sanity.
You will find quite the mix here, so may your skin be thick and your tolerance be flexible. But you should be able to find some good camaraderie here.
If ya need any help getting around, shoot me a message, otherwise a mod will be along shortly with some guidelines.

Peace,
spec

A real man of faith doesn't regard himself a punching bag.

A real man of faith knows who is, what he's doing and where he's going. Nothing around him touches him for long.

Enough said.

Sorry to sound so negative. It was meant to be a challenge. If your a man of faith you'd have a different outlook was what I was meaning.

Do you agree?

declaration of faith is a step away from a life of physical satiation, in my opinion. there are those that might look for meaning and in doing so find some impermanent thing to latch onto as knowledge. you have knowledge, faith and understanding. many seek knowledge. many seek faith. rarely there are those who seek understanding. i know that you have faith, because you told me you did. i have faith that you seek to understand, which is probably why you are here on this forum. welcome.

On the contrary, a man of faith could consider himself a punching bag, because that's what the world does to men of faith, attack. A punching bag can take it, but an ordinary punching bag might split at the seams so I would like to change my name to something with a little more solidity to it. I'm waiting for a response from ATS. Thanks for the advice.

but do you realy understand everything?
Although you think you have an idea of why your here what do you understand? what motivates people to do things and how much does it take to motivate someone?
It seems people today are willing to be pushed around pretty far until they actually decide to do something.

Welcome.I hope you find what you are looking for here.I believe we are here to learn, and sometimes we have some very hard lessons. The world is indeed getting worse. It seems to be going downhill at a faster rate than ever before.Governments and people are not learning from thier mistakes.I`m glad you have faith as more and more people are losing theirs .
Peace and love
