Boeing has delivered its conceptual design proposal for the Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter (JIMO), a spacecraft that could become the nation's first nuclear-fission-powered exploration vehicle with technologies applicable to future Mars and lunar missions.

Is Boeing the only company to submit proposels or is this a competetion between the top aerospace manufacturers? If it is I would really be interested in seeing some of the other designs.

I think lockheed is in the race to. I heared something of LanL is also bussy with a design of the nuclear engine.
