Animated Avatar Backgrounds - Yes or No?

Might have been a bit harsh on my part.
I agree I see avatars and recognize the contributor by it.

Still moving stuff in the avatars or flashy colors is annoying (to me) and it takes away focus from the actual content at hand.

Actually makes me scroll until it is out of sight...
