Well, that is a really vague point you are trying to make there. China and the US are co-dependent. Sure China holds debt, but they hold debt of something that can be manipulated on call.

Meaning, the value of their reserves are dependent on how the currency is treated in the market. If they wish to exchange all their bonds for something tangible there would be hell to pay. So just because they hold debt, does not mean they have complete leverage over the lender.

You must remember that China is a centralized society. While things are changing slowly, the entire nation is built of the idea that they are the center of the world. Literally, the word China, translated, Jung Gok - means Center World.

This ideology that is built into Chinese thought from a young age leads the Chinese people into a certain way of thought. They have far more respect for their own culture as they do others. (They are very polite to others as well, though).

Neither socialism or communism are about being stripped of your property at all. That's what your government propaganda wants you to believe. Both socialism and communism are an attempt to share the productive sources among all the people. So the idea is not abolishing private property but limiting it so nobody can have a monopoly.
You should go to the source and read Marx or Kropotkin or any other author about the subject before talking about what you don't know a crap about.

One really has to wonder what exactly her vision of this is. However, it is amazing that a captured terrorist, spent time in prison and then elected president. Amazing. But I'm sure her and the Chinese will have no problems deciding social issues for the world. Far more disturbing is what the relationship between this BRIC leader and the American president is. This is actually a book criticizing other philosopher, Proudhon, but his discussion of wages values under capitalism is very interesting and easy to understand. In fact, Marx is a pleasure to read, he indeed was a great writer, explaing things easily and fun, including a bit of sarcasm and sense of humor.

Not sure I buy into all this talk about how the amount of money owed to China means they own America, doesn't the amount of money 'owed' to the 2 colonies of Japan and the UK greatly outweigh what is owed to China?

It's time for all people to finally understand that capitalism is the thing generating the problem, no matter what part of the world you are. Proletarians of the world, join together!

Just a note of reason added to this discussion. No system of governance or economics lasts forever. At some point the "current world order" will change. The one thing that the Brazilian president had right, is that the current institutions that are in place are not relevant to the reality of the world today. They are broken and unable to address the problems in the world today. When the old world order goes away the only thing that can take its place is a "new word order". I don't think just because she used those worlds she was referring to a vast global conspiracy. I actually find it encouraging that there are some leaders in the world that acknowledge that the current system is broken and we need a new system. You won't here anyone in America saying that, because America is at the top of the current system and if the system changes there will be no way of guaranteeing continued dominance.

In closing I would just like to caution against screaming NWO whenever a world leader talks about institutional change. Considering the situation our world is currently in, staying in the current world order could be much more catastrophic than any "New World Order.
