Sounds good to me. Why wouldn't a country want to invest in itself and have little foreign dependence, but ovbiously they cannot produce everything
they need.

What are your thoughts of this article? Has Putin gone off the deep end or do you believe he is correct with his statement?
Vladimir Putin, Russia's Prime Minister, said Wednesday Russia needs to avoid experimenting with "unjustified liberalism" in order to safeguard its sovereignty. Putin told the Russian Parliament in his annual address that outsiders must not be allowed to dictate the country's development, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported. It was Putin's last address as prime minister before legislative elections later this year and presidential elections next year.
