GOCE Data Close Up: Around the World in Lumpy, Geoidy 3-D

Grab your red/cyan 3-D glasses ( if you have any) and look at these lumpy pictures of the earth in 3D! these pictures look cool in 3D glasses. it will beshowing Earth’s gravity field – or geoid and a a map of the shape our world if the surface were covered by water and if gravity were the only thing shaping this global ocean’s surface.

Interesting... It's very lumpy. This better illustrates the results of the Mariana's trench(and other earth shifting), which is expanding, it is distorting the earth because of it's non equator location.
