Of the samples provided by the four women, the breast milk of the mother of an 8-month-old baby in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture, contained the highest level of 36.3 becquerels of radioactive iodine per kilogram, but no radioactive cesium was found, the group said.

As time passes the true horror story of radioactive contamination will unfold, I doubt many truly understand this. look at the folowing quote...

There are no safety levels for radionuclide exposure. Those radioactive particles, inhaled or ingested, instantly increase your radiation exposure by a factor of a trillion:- Dr. Helen Caldicott (Co-founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility):“You’ve bought the propaganda from the nuclear industry. They say it’s low-level radiation. That’s absolute rubbish. If you inhale a millionth of a gram of plutonium, the surrounding cells receive a very, very high dose. Most die within that area, because it’s an alpha emitter. The cells on the periphery remain viable. They mutate, and the regulatory genes are damaged. Years later, that person develops cancer. Now, that’s true for radioactive iodine, that goes to the thyroid; cesium-137, that goes to the brain and muscles; strontium-90 goes to bone, causing bone cancer and leukemia. It’s imperative…that you understand internal emitters and radiation, and it’s not low level to the cells that are exposed. Radiobiology is imperative to understand these days.”

here is another link that you may see this storyis not a fabrication.

As a strong supporter of breast feeding when able, and as a mother of 7 breastfed babies, this saddens me beyond belief. Cant make formula with the water, cant breastfeed... So sad/mad at the whole situation!
