Imagine this.

You are trapped in a bedroom, you have ran out of ammo for your guns, you dropped your melee weapons, and there is a horde of hungry zombies outside the door.

In the room you have, a empty wardrobe, and a bed. The room is about 10 foot above ground level.

What do you do?

I would try and climn out of the window, throw the matress from teh bed to break my fall, is it worth the risk? You certainly wouldnt want a broken leg or ankle.

Pretty bad situation

I don't mean to be rude but please use the search next time, There is an on-going thread that on this that was started a week or so ago.

In your scenerio, We'll you would be totally screwed.....No chance of survival. The zombies would probably swarming around your house, Your best bet would be waiting there for a week as long as the structure of the house was strong enough to prevent them from entering. You would have enough food supplies and water for the week, After that well you're dead.

Why is the topic of interest on ATS once again? C.O.D Black Ops?

What, there's no zombies outside? Yeah, the window's a great idea then.

Preferrably, though, I would attempt to channel Chuck Norris so when the zombies bit me, I would not turn into a zombie - they would instead turn into Chuck Norris.

Then my gang of Chucks could go take care of this pathetic zombie apocalypse.

I'd demolish the bed and/or wardrobe splinter the wood and prepare some makeshift blunt and sharp melee weapons and then have me some zombie meat but if i open the door and there's too many I'll take my chances with the window and hope to a god i don't believe in that i can outrun them.

i would use my hands after making it out the window to fight them off then once i find a something explosive i would do the dawn of the dead thing and blow my self up with the rest of them so that i dont get turned

Depends a lot on the type of zombies also.

Are they shamblers? Slow moving like The night of the Living dead?

Or are they fast agile zombies?

Jumping out the window is an option if the outside is clear....

If they are the slow type maybe break a leg off the bed or a board and just fight them off. They can only come through the door one at a time......

But really this is not a realistic scenario in my house because if you saw my ammo stock you would faint.

Oh no, I am out of ammo?!?!?!? HA HA HA HA HA HA..........NOT!

Hey Serizawa, I'd actually like to disagree.

An article 7 Scientific Reasons a Zombie Outbreak Would Fail (Quickly) on Cracked.com opened my eyes here (depending on the type of zombie, anyway - we'll hope these are CLASSIC zombies).

Apparently, a zombie apocalype would be doomed from the start. They're walking meatbags with no anti-rot protection, no resistance to cold, all sorts of natural predators, and they're fairly stupid as well. You should check out the article, it made me feel a lot better about the coming zombie war.

Walk through the wardrobe to Narnia of course! Really though, in this situation one would be done for.

I disagree.

In terms of 28 days later style infection. Where the "Zombie" is not dead, they are humans which have been infected with 100% rage, they run, they climb, they even bash people to death with there own guns + push eyes in.

I think a rabies style outbreak is very plausable.

Haha what is it with this zombie war? Did I miss something?

1) The natural predators could also turn into zombies such as the dogs in most movies and games.
2) What if the zombie outbreak was caused by a virus and these people are not really dead just aggressive and hungry? The sun would not really affect them. This would mean that they could feed off each other and survive for loooong.
3) It doesn't snow all over the world and what if it was summer?
4) Biting is a horrible way to spread disease?...... Rabies!!!!!!!
5) They would die from injury and infections but after how long?
6) Zombie proof barriers? We are currently stuck in one. We need FOOD!!!
7) Weapons? No AMMO!!!

We're screwed the list is a LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Serizawa & Haydn:

True, true, that's why I said this is contingent on it being classical 'shuffler' zombies. In the event of a 'rage' type situation, granted - the outlook is not so positive...

As far as biting being a poor means of transmission - I'll take that over air-borne rabies any day!

PS Serizawa - the list is cake, and the cake is ALWAYS a lie.

What if some how you managed to live indoors for a month and the zombies died of starvation. Everyone else was dead, You were the only person alive..........Then what? I've always wondered what I would do in such a scenario.

I have to say, when I first read that article months ago, I too felt a lot better about the chances of a zombie outbreak. However, I'm not so sure about the natural predators...they may not like moving corpses.

The information about bites being a poor way to spread disease was especially reassuring.

Read books
Watch movies
Play video games
Go driving in a different car each day
Freebie shopping sprees
Target practice with automatic weapons
and probably lots of porn and masturbation (I mean, if you are truly the ONLY person left alive)

I make a make shift weapon, and torch, I light mattress on fire and throw out window, then light torch, and everything around me up, and jump out the window to the middle of the mattress hopefully. beat my way to my bugout bag in my truck, and start cappin again with my .40 glock. then drive off into the sunset. Optimistically speaking.
