Glenn Beck is pulling the plug on his popular daily show for Fox News.
In a release his production company says he will "transition" away from his Fox News show later this year.
According to the release Beck won't jump ship entirely. He'll develop a variety of programs for Fox News and its digital properties.
Talk of Beck leaving Fox News has been bubbling up for a while now.

Maybe he is going into one of those 2012 Survival Communities.

I think he is leaving because he has said pretty much all he can say, and if someone doesn't get it by now then they never will.

You said a mouthful!

I wonder if conspiracy theories are a fading trend now?
Not that they will go away, just like comic books were the rage in the 90's, they will just sit on the shelf soon.

You are right...He has said a LOAD!....the word LOAD of bull chips! This guy is a complete tool and is clearly insane as well. He is just another HUMAN PARAQUAT! Tell me exactly what has this guy done to contributed to society other than claiming and making outrageous statements that are based on nothing and getting many stirred up into a fear frenzy.

I think that over the past few years what was once considered fantastical and unbelievable has become reasonable and unsurprising. The world around us gets crazier by the day, which makes it harder to come up with a good conspiracy theory.

How are his claims based on nothing when he uses people's own words and actions, in context, against them? I don't agree with everything Beck says or does, but he has been right about a lot of things over the last several years.

What do you mean? I just gave you a video with tones of his absurd rants and claims. You show me where his statements are based on facts and not opinion. I ask this to not only you, but to some of the other Beck fans out there....You do realize his show is a Opinion piece and not news right?

His shows, both radio and TV, are opinion shows. He openly says that on a regular basis. He says that he is not a journalist on a regular basis. These facts are not lost on the regular viewers/listeners (like me) to his show. It's hard to have this conversation with you because I don't know how often you listen or watch. I have to assume that you don't listen or watch at all, or maybe a snip here and there, or maybe you just go by what Media Matters says about him without investigating for yourself. Beck presents his opinions on various current events and on various people that he considers important players in said current events. He uses their own words against them. Many of his theories/predictions have come to pass, not because of some divine intervention or psychic ability, but because he is able to put two and two together and use critical thinking to follow something to it's logical end. He has especially been right on pretty much every prediction he has made in regards to the economy. Last year he said that food prices would go up significantly by early 2011. He was called crazy and a fearmonger. Have you been to the grocery store lately? Every business show on TV is now talking about it. Beck predicted the unrest in the middle east long before it ever started. He was called crazy and accused of fearmongering. Turns out he was right about that as well.

His best prediction came about 7 years ago when he predicted gold would hit $1200 an ounce or more. He made this prediction when the economy was booming, well before the housing market crash. He was called crazy. Have you seen the price of gold today, another all time high $1500 an ounce. Have you ever seen anyone debunk what he says on a daily basis? Of course not. They don't attack his information because they can't. Instead they attack him personally, which is the typical liberal status quo. When he has been wrong he starts his show with the correction. When someone writes an article about him that challenges his integrity he leads his show with it. He doesn't try to hide from anyone.

Can he be annoying and absurd. Yes, you bet he can. He gets on my nerves all the time, but I have learned to see past that and look at the information that he is presenting. Last but not least, he challenges his viewers/listeners to "not believe a word he says" and to "research it for yourself". He provides a very detailed and thorough list of all of his research and sources on his web site everyday.

Thanks for your evaluation of Beck and I can appreciate where you are comming from, but even with all that you just said. He still provides no proof of his claims or statements. He predicted gold would hit over the $1200 mark before the economy went bust? Hell, all you have to do is look on this site and see that many here predicted WAY before he made his supposed prediction. If you were following what was happening at the time...anyone would have come to the same conclusion. The unrest in the middle east? come on man! really? There is always unrest in the Middle East.
I have watched him, and now I don't because it did not take long for me to realize how utterly full of horse hockey he was.

I respect and appreciate your opinion and point of view. I'm not claiming that Beck is some oracle or that he is/was the only person making predictions that came true. I'm saying that the information that he puts out is correct the vast majority of the time. Now if someone wants to bash him because of his religious beliefs, etc then that's fine. You are correct, there has always been unrest in the middle east, so perhaps I should have chosen a better word than unrest. You have to admit that all of the protests and uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, Iran and others is more unrest than we have ever seen in the middle east. His information on the socialist/communist movement as well as their ties to labor union leadership is spot on. The connections he made between Obama and the Chicago Climate Exchange was spot on. There is a criminal enterprise running our country right now, more so than in years past, and Beck has done a great job of connecting those dots and exposing George Sorros, et al for who and what they really are. Maybe all of that is old news for some, especially those that have been on ATS for many years, but some of us (including myself) have just woken up to reality. It is amazing at how ignorant I was as little as 3 or 4 years ago, but Beck, among many other sources, have helped me to educate myself.

There are some things about Beck that I dislike, like his stance on 9/11 and what he refers to as "truthers" (I don't think he coined the phrase) Beck believes that 9/11 went down exactly as the 9/11 commission says it did, but anyone with half a brain and an internet connection can see that it didn't and that there are still a lot of unanswered questions. My problem with Beck's stance on 9/11 is that how can he, night after night, claim that the economic collapse has been purposefully orchestrated and how can all of these things being done by our government be some carefully planned agenda for a NWO, as he claims, and then say that the government would never pull off 9/11 or at least have some sort of involvement or prior knowledge of it? That is the only real inconsistency of Beck's that I have a problem with, but it's a big inconsistency.

Heard Glenn was not only leaving Fox, but was going to do some type of Religious show. Fitting actually, religious show for him and the fellow religious nut jobs out there.

I could not of said it better. Glen Beck should of never been on the air in the first place. It just proves that if you have enough of a big mouth incesantly spewing...what ever he was talking about than you can get on TV. Tonight I celibrate for another bearer of hogwash dissapears from the boobtube.

I honestly mean no offense, but if that is the end result of this then so be it. While you're CELEBRATING (not CELIBRATING) hopefully you will take time to learn how to spell. How do you expect to be taken seriously, or for your point of view to be respected when you can't even articulate your point in an intelligent manner? The fact of the matter is, if Glenn (two n's, not one) Beck were spewing lies every night he would have been pulled off of the air long ago. Do you honestly think that any news organization would allow for such a thing to happen? Regardless of your opinion on Fox News, which is quite obvious, it is still a billion dollar, nationally broadcast news channel with shareholders that would never allow for such a thing to happen (the exception being MSNBC, because they are Obama's lap dog) Glenn Beck's shows go through a very rigorous fact checking process before the content is even allowed to air. You would know this if you had spent anytime watching his show, but you clearly haven't. Your uninformed opinion is status quo for a pseudo-intellectual liberal, so enjoy your ignorance until you wake up one day and suddenly realize that you need a wheelbarrow full of money to buy a loaf of bread, that is if there is any bread left to buy, and then blame it all on Bush.

one thing about beck though he constantly tells you to not take his word do your own research seems to me as though he gives us a direction to go when it comes to research i dont agree with every thing he says either but alot is fact based and alot of what he said would happen did and is happening now his view on 9/11 is what it is although if he were to say differently than what he does i am sure he would have been off the air long ago i think he tells it like it is in most cases he has exposed us to alot that we may have never heard anywhere else or at least not in the timely manner that he has got this info to us i for one will miss his show we will have to work alot harder to find out the things hes has found for us
