Todays Magnetosphere

I do not usually comment on these graphs however today seems very strange and I must agree with sherriequestioningall in her commentary about this strange anomalous occurrence of how the magnetosphere is in a very strange flux.

From her email earlier this am:

have seen the magnetosphere collapsed recently and put pictures on this blog while the Earth was getting hit previously. But I have never seen it collapsed while it was white hot as it has today. I have many pictures I have captured over the last two weeks but have not inserted of it being collapsed.

Today's pictures concern me. I would assume too we will see some (at least one large) quakes from this today.

I will not hold my breath for disclosure from scientist about our magnetosphere problems.

Here are pictures from this morning (18th of April) of a half collapsed magnetosphere from this site.


This is how it should be - completely flared out while we are getting hit. It did straighten up and this is from today, but it stayed like this for only a short time. -

Now when I clicked on the link to the site it was strangely down due to power outage??

I know some of our members are much more educated on these graphs and what they mean, so is this going to be the time when we see large earthquakes and other disasters due to the weakening?

Funny how I put this up just as the quake was happening huh? I have had an intense headache, woke with it, not typical so I knew something was up.

No problem, these graphs are something i have been looking at for several years here on ATS and from time to time they get very scary looking like this mornings, you could study at University for years to know as much as some of our members know from observation, I am not one of them but I am hoping someone comes and discusses this strange looking graph and perhaps shed light on the site itself being down during something this big due to power failure.

Just wait and check back, I am just the messenger here but there are others who can clarify your question.

The earthquake near New Zealand has been upgraded to a 6.6 mag at a depth of 50+ miles.

As far as the "strangely down due to power outage", this site is based in Japan, where (as it has been stated before) they are still experiencing rolling power outages. The photos are interesting - but wonder what comparitive pics from last year at this time would be? Or if they are similar or greatly different (on average) from previous months....don't know that an accurate prediction can be made without comparison info....

PS. NICT has been down off and on pretty much since the big one - lately they seem to be putting pics up about every 15 minutes.

That last is a humdinger......This seems to indicate earthquake activity was imminent at the time...
Was there a signifigant quake following this pic?
We have had so many strong aftershocks in Japan,(almost daily)its hard to say what this may have triggered....
Any ideas?

Here's the earthquake list pre- and post that pic - what I think is happening is a feedback loop involving low frequencies associated with seismic activity AND solar flares - but haven't documented and analyzed yet.

Well color me freaked out but I could have sworn I read this exact thread and all its replies at some point weeks ago. I actually minimized my browser to double check the dates of the posts against my calendar.

I know there have been similar threads but with this one the deja vu was very precise and I felt I knew what each post was going to say before I read it. Sorry to bust in like this, but I figured I'd post just to break the deja vu feeling. That will teach me to indulge in two cups of coffee in the morning.

Welcome welcome, I had started a thread a short time ago about just this anomaly, from what I can gather about these end time synchronizations, it means you are exactly where you are suppose to be at just the right time, be very aware today and as always because these are clues given you which are akin to miracles in the making.

What a beautiful phenomena and I am proud to be part of it, thank you for the personal 'reminder'.

As for this event seems it 'is' indeed becoming a global event.

Oh boy, looks like we better head over to the EQ thread... Although what is happening today due to a combination of reasons as you suggest and I agree, is causing multipal happenings world wide, have you put a connecting line to all of the various EQs and do you think it will affect the US or UK today as well?

This thread was started and to discuss the very real possibility of EQs happening due to this event. Interestingly enough only seconds later they did begin to happen. I am by no means a scientist (wish I had become one) because I have always had a strong inner sense which I trust even though I may not always have the ability to express what it is I sense.

The 6.6 EQ in the Kermadecs happened at 13:03 UTC; your pic above is from 13:22 UTC - it doesn't show much disruption in the field - but now, at 16:17 UTC the field is much more disrupted:

...What I've been observing is that the magnetic field often is more disrupted after a quake, between 2 - 14 hours. Which is why I think there's a feedback loop happening...
