Wow magnetic field is taking hard !

Is it anticipated that the MF will get weaker this and next year? What are the implications of radiation and solar flares/bursts etc?

The MF is gradually getting weaker, however this is a very slow process , like 1% decrease in a decade. I do not expect to have a decrease faster than the one seen in the last few years..

O, by the way, what a coincidence - we got a 6.6 earthquake, overlapping the high proton density on the solar radiation!

I know this is real-time and it's changed since you've posted, but based on the historical data, it all looks pretty normal. I believe the lines fan out when we're getting hit by the solar wind, and then wraps itself when we're not. The Bz value is also a good indicator - when it goes high in the red, that means we're getting hit.

The solar wind speed was low this morning, but there were a lot of particles.

Gamma rays go through everything but may not make it conductive by ionization like X rays.
Expect Mexico to conduct electricity on the surface at least if X Rays come along for the ride.

Thus the Earth Magnetic field is useless and ignorant science writers persist in making
the magnetic field more known than pressure and voltage. The Earth Magnetic field
captures positive charged particles from the Primary cosmic particles.
The Magnetic field makes moving charges go into a circle path.
