Japan Earthquake: Helicopter aerial view video of giant tsunami waves

I found this video and thought I would share it. Did a search and found nothing on this video...



This really shows the power of this tsunami. The waves that are breaking that far from the shore are really a site to see.Now you actually see the power of nature at it's best. What I find interesting is the amount of tsunamis between the 1900's and 2000.

1900–1950

So now you see there have been eight tsunamis in the 2000's, but what is really scary is the fact that we are only eleven years into the 2000's and we have almost have as many as the whole 100 years from 1900's to 2000. Really makes you think about what nay be in our future.

Seen the video a few times on here but s&f for the tsunami count. Wow... That is scary. It's eight in eight years.

At 2:07, you can really see the incredible speed at which the water floods the mainland. I imagine it would have been a terrifying experience for those who were on the ground... It's lucky so many escaped!

The technology that we use to detect tsunamis have been upgraded each year.. perhaps that explain the increasing number of documented incidents

Your right about the technology and I cannot imagine what it was like before with no clue as to what was going to happen or even when it would happen. Mind boggling indeed.
